I mean, he promised to get FM done by the end of the year. He's never set a defined due date like that for himself before. He's only just gotten through the teleporter-section of Lambda Complex. If he wants to succeed in that goal, he's going to have to rush like mad, which will decrease both the quality of Freeman's Mind episodes, and the frequency of Game Dungeon episodes.
Neither of which would be good.

he said somewhere he's been recording tons and tons of footage though, so its possible he's already almost done with FM and is just post-processing all the stuff, idk
he's probably going to finish by the end of the year though, he really is at the end of the game, he has to do the fight in the lambda teleporter and xen might be a few episodes but not much else
Yeah, from my understanding the bulk of the work seems to actually be the audio work. And trying to make sure the game wouldn't cause some weird issue during recording, though over the years he has figured most of them out.
