A band commences, most of the time they don't gain recognition until a third or fourth album... then people buy the debut and are pleasantly amazed.

Each of these are milestones in their relative genres. Absolute masterpieces in their own artistry, straight off before they got a chance to settle in, they come up with something straight away that is so masterful that I can't get my head around it to this day.
There is energy, in each of these that later in their career will draw this energy and let their futures be set in stone if they know they can hold it close to them.

Well, the problem I had with the album was that it was too good so I was sort of disappointed with all the other stuff King Crimson made.
Except for Red.
