I swear the gravity of that press conference has only gotten greater over the years in retrospect. They had absolutely dominated the shit out of the console industry in the past six years, and it just shows how astoundingly well they sabotaged that.

And since then Xbox added backwards compatibility and launched the Play Anywhere program (that killed their first party console exclusivity) making it a much more consumer friendly platform. That conference lost them millions of customers.
