• Samsung Galaxy S8 Review (by Casey Neistat)

Casey Neistat works pretty closely with Samsung and thus got his hands on the S8+, and did a pretty rough tech review, phone looks pretty sweet though.
Casey Neistat works pretty closely with Samsung
aka they paid him to do this
this man is literally the spokesman of samsung right now. he's on samsung tv commercials
Shouldn't he be including the fact it's a paid promotion then? I thought that was a YouTube requirement.
That 4k movement on S8 was weirdly wobbly.
I really like the front screen being so big
aka they paid him to do this
He said a few times that he wasn't paid to make the video.
And the Casey Neistat hate/argument bandwagon begins..
I like how the video ends mid sentence. Anyway, seems good but 700€+ for a phone is just way of my confort region, maybe the Nokia 5 or 6 is more up my alley.
you saying hillary paid him for that? lol
he's met hillary, but also, kanye has met trump, and we know how kanye feels about trump now [editline]30th March 2017[/editline]
aka they paid him to do this
they didn't, he's just done commercials for them, and he completely admits it's totally biased in the video.
I love the design of the phone, nearly all screen with little bezel is what I've been wanting in a smartphone forever. Wish Samsung wasn't extremely restrictive on what Casey could show off, would've been nice if they let him use the phone outside for a bit to show off how powerful the camera can be with outside shots. I'm not too worried, the camera on my S7 Edge is a beast so I'm expecting the S8 to be similar or better. Also wanted to know how it stacks up specs wise too, unless there's info of that floating around.
Really dislike this guy. Don't see the appeal of his videos.
wait, S8+? does that mean that there won't be a note 8? that would be good for me since that was actually what i was waiting on
I really hope that removal of physical buttons isn't going to be a constant trend going forward. I hate having those on the screen.
I like it personally. Buttons are reliable but if software/screen doesn't work, I don't think buttons would cut it. Buttons can't move out of the way when you need it either. [editline]30th March 2017[/editline] I'd hate it if the buttons of my LGG3 didn't fade away when I played a game or watched a video.
I mean my buttons don't need to move out of the way because they aren't plastered on the screen. And they can still be used while watching videos / playing games. Also no accidental pressing of them without a decent amount of force.
tbh it's not so much a review as it is a features list and comparison to the iphone 6+ he's just really into the big screen and that's all he really says.
tbh it's not so much a review as it is a features list and comparison to the iphone 6+ he's just really into the big screen and that's all he really says.
If that's the case you can find much better videos from people who actually know tech (MKBHD or Android Authority) The rating is accidental btw
Shouldn't he be including the fact it's a paid promotion then? I thought that was a YouTube requirement.
did you even watch the video
Really dislike this guy. Don't see the appeal of his videos.
why
wait, S8+? does that mean that there won't be a note 8? that would be good for me since that was actually what i was waiting on
There was some hints from samsung that there will be a note 8.
wait, S8+? does that mean that there won't be a note 8? that would be good for me since that was actually what i was waiting on
It wouldn't surprise me if Samsung is trying to distance itself from the Note branding for a phone cycle
I may end up going away from 'industrial' phones for a feature phone like this i just wish these didn't look so damn fragile
i just wish these didn't look so damn fragile
They not only look frigile, they are fragile. Seriously, S7 is one of the weakest flaghship phones of 2016, I doubt S8 will be any better.
Really dislike this guy. Don't see the appeal of his videos.
Don't watch these or any of his dumb Hillary videos. His daily vlogs are pretty fucking good. That's pretty much what he's known for other than his dumb opinions on Trump. And his vlogs aren't just like "lol im gonna talk to the camera for 20 minutes" but with the intent of entertaining and showing something worth showing. I guess this video explains it better than I can ever but this is basically his entire appeal. I thought he was pretty fucking dumb but I watched one of his vlogs and couldn't stop. He's pretty entertaining to watch for a caveman.
His work ethic is inspiring, that's what I'll say about him
They not only look frigile, they are fragile. Seriously, S7 is one of the weakest flaghship phones of 2016
It's been top rated as "the" smartphone of 2016 by multiple sources.
It's been top rated as "the" smartphone of 2016 by multiple sources.
Multiple awards doesn't magically make glass parts more durable. It's great phone (I own one) but it's fragile as hell.
They not only look frigile, they are fragile. Seriously, S7 is one of the weakest flaghship phones of 2016, I doubt S8 will be any better.
I mean its not as bad as the most fragile phone of all time, the iBend, if memory serves
I mean its not as bad as the most fragile phone of all time, the iBend, if memory serves
I dropped it once from about 3 feet up onto a hard floor and the whole front screen of my S7 Edge is now cracked to shit. The screen replacement costs £260 from Samsung.
Really dislike this guy. Don't see the appeal of his videos.
i think hes a great personality [editline]30th March 2017[/editline] also this is fantastic. the camera quality blew me away (on the iphone as well) its amazing how far we've come from the phones i had when i was in highschool. i've got a s6 edge and the comment about accidentally activating things while holding it is soooo true. i definitely will be picking one of these up if it isnt and ied because i love the look of these almost bezel free phones.
