the other thread got removed because the OP decided to be an assclown and got it DDT'd. it's been 10 long years since our towers fell. since the pentagon's walls were broken. since the peaceful pennsylvania field was scarred. what happened that day for you? where were you? how do you remember 9/11? I wish they'd remember some more of the victims of 9/11 like everyone affected by the revenge murders and all the civilians killed in the insuing wars. It's always just the people in the buildings.

School is doing a memorial service. The ROTC Academy, The Police Academy, and the EMT Academy, will all be in uniform assembled and singing the national anthem. It's about 500-600 of us.

What have you done.
My uncle was just down the street when the planes hit the towers. His car was covered in the dust from when they collapsed. Most of its gone, but you can still see a little speck of the dust over it. R.I.P to all that died that terrible day.

As I mentioned in that last thread I have an extensive collection of 9/11 content. I have two sets of rare pictures that very few see because they get taken down whenever anyone posts them due to their sensitive content. Although they're pretty graphic, so if anyone can get a mod to clarify for me I'll post them if people want to see them. They may be considered 'gore' I just want as many people to see and save them as possible before they disappear for good. Regardless if they're pretty or not.

Our school is doing a memorial mass service. The seniors say each student holds a candle and at the end of the service, one by one we go up to a memorial plaque and place the candles there. Something like that.

Well, here we go again.
I was only like 5 or 6 at the time so I don't actually remember it happening.
Wow, it's hard to believe 10 years have passed already. Feels like just yesterday.

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll repost it for those who missed it. My uncle was stationed AT the Pentagon when this happened. We had gone to see him about a month earlier. If we'd delayed till then, or they'd attacked a month earlier, I might be dead. I was in the exact wing that was attacked. I was also in the hallway to the SecDef's office, but that's just a cool little tidbit. It's really surreal to imagine that if my uncle had been there that fateful day, he might be gone too.

repost from other thread to keep things going:
i lived in new york when 9/11 happened. I was only in kindergarten. but i remember it so clearly. this isn't about me though. i can still remember what the smoke and ashes smelled like all the way from queens. anyways... my stepmom worked in the north tower with some law and insurance firm. anywho, the offices were situated in the impact zone, which was exactly where she worked - floor 96. every single one of her colleagues that were there died on the plane's impact. she had called in sick that morning. that's the only reason she survived... RIP everyone who died on that day. it still hits home every time i think about it. i hope nobody has to experience it or even witness it for the rest of their life. it's a horrible thing, even if you weren't/aren't directly affected.
Eating cereal and getting around for school. Then I went to class and wondered where my Pakistani friend had gone. (his mother kept him home for a week because she was afraid people would ostracize him, which didn't happen.)

FYAD
I remember watching something on the news in the middle of my first-grade class and wondering to myself "Why are all of the teachers crying? Why do they look so shocked?". It's amazing to think that we didn't understand what was happening and, when it was finally explained to us as to what happened, why anyone would do such a thing. A child hasn't the ability to comprehend the loss of life in a small scale, so why would they be able to understand it in such a horrific scale? Looking back, I can actually say with a great deal of confidence that I think that what President Bush did during the actual event was a good move on his part. If he had stood up or reacted in any way that would show a great deal of worry on his part it would have more than likely startled the children he was with. He had received a great deal of flack for doing so, but now I think I understand why he did so.
FYAD
Hey guys, lets be so easily offended we end up feeding the trolls, thats what this thread will be about from now on.
I remember, my teacher was walking in her eyes were filled with tears and turned on the TV. My first thought was "Yay were watching a movie." But when the picture came in the whole class got silent. Then everything else goes black.
