I liked his vlog, watching his stuff has gotten me into videography and vlogging. Kinda sad that it's ending but it was obviously inevitable.
Never really watched any of his videos until a month ago, always looked a bit iffy to me (as in, stereotypical vlog even though that's not what he does.) Good luck to whatever his plans for the future are.

His style has been imitated by a fuckload of people.
He was interesting to watch at times, but I support him moving to something else that will challenge him creatively. Nothing wrong with that.
Can someone give me the cliffnotes version of who Casey Neistat is? What makes him different from every other vlogger out there?
Can someone give me the cliffnotes version of who Casey Neistat is? What makes him different from every other vlogger out there?
Mostly production value and background in film making. Much easier to digest than most vlogs.

[editline]21st November 2016[/editline] Which are two essential parts of a good vlog.
I think it looked stereotypical because Casey pioneered that stereotypical style of vblog.
Can someone give me the cliffnotes version of who Casey Neistat is? What makes him different from every other vlogger out there?
The basic reasoning that he's better is because he isn't a vlogger per se, he's a filmmaker, he frames his shots, uses composition and does all sorts of things that someone who isn't super film literate like me doesn't know about to make what we're watching really well shot and composed. [editline]21st November 2016[/editline] Here's an essay on it:
He's pretty famous from these videos too:
Casey Neistat is so boring
Casey Neistat is so boring
Meh by his videos posted above I don't understand what leads you to call him boring. It seems like he has some interesting stories to tell
Isn't this that guy that pushed people to vote for Hillary Clinton?
his video on an emirates first class airplane ride was the only video of him that I liked
Can someone give me the cliffnotes version of who Casey Neistat is? What makes him different from every other vlogger out there?
before casey neistat: people used to only vlog by sitting in front of a webcam and/or HD video camera, in their bedrooms, used as kind of a "stream of consciousness" where the vlogger just sits and speaks about something for 8-15 mins what casey neistat did: reinvent the vlog by utilizing panoramic camera shots, timelapses, music paced to match the video, using drones/steadyrigs/360/gopros all over his vlogs, as well as deliberately cutting the video to deliver easy-to-digest information essentially he set the standard much higher in production quality, as nowadays most vlogs seek to imitate his style. unfortunately, he's dumbed down the topics that can be spoken about quite significantly.
He's a real life goblin
Casey Neistat is so boring
I disagree, I think he honestly had the best vlogs out there and they were pretty incredibly directed and filmed, he brought the art of professional cinematography to daily vlogging and it was pretty compelling to watch.
i never knew who this guy was, up until he called out any non-shillary people
casey neistat is the epitome of the liberal white new yorker startup yuppie, specialising in 'le quirky gopro fantasy life' clickbait videos after a while the style just gets stale and boring (subjective opinion), there's no real depth to his videos
I started watching him sort of regularly after nerdwriter1's video on him. It's just so well edited into something that's casually, mildly enjoyable. Does indeed get boring in my opinion, but it's just pleasant every once in a while. He's also the guy who made this video that most people have probably seen:
isn't this that caveman

I knew a bit more about him but never really subscribed. Then there's the one with the $21000 plane ticket and that's when I started to watch more of his videos, but still never subscribed. He's one of those people where I find a bit of interest to watch but not enough to subscribe. But as a film maker myself, I do wonder what he is going to do next.
probably the best content creator on youtube! sad to see he will end vlogs.
casey neistat might do good videos but i cant get over the fact he looks like a fucking neanderthal sure he can make pretty good videos but this will never get out of my head
casey neistat might do good videos but i cant get over the fact he looks like a fucking neanderthal sure he can make pretty good videos but this will never get out of my head
i think that makes him all the more interesting. on the surface, he just looks like a complete average doucher but he's really a down to earth dude with a ton of talent and a ton of love for his craft. i definitely had a bit of a paradigm shift when i saw his videos for the first time.
