All he wanted was 'one like' on YouTube. Now, the youngster who goes by the username of Sir Fedora has become the internet's latest sensation – simply by being adorable.
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/2014/02/06/12/51/boy-gains-internet-fame-after-posting-youtube-video Video in the source sir fedora
Slow news day. Plus Sir Fedora. Really?
"Let's Go 3-5 likes!" 62,000 subs, 100,000 likes, and more than 850,000 views.
That's great
Slow news day. Plus Sir Fedora. Really?
The kids like 8.
The kids like 8.
Mines cooler.
He's fedorable.
how?
Reddit
and I can't even break a hundred
Do people really care about this stuff that much?
Seems like a nice kid! Hope he enjoys his 15 seconds of fame tho. That YT audience is going to wear off really quickly given the circumstances.
fuck an 8 year old is making more ad revenue than me
New Coppercab, except not as sad and pathetic.
New Coppercab, except not as sad and pathetic.
coppercab was an obvious fake tho. like, view any of his videos past his first. it's obvious that he's fucking around. same with the "greatest freakout" guy.
They had this kid on @midnight. He was so genuinely excited that someone watched his videos. The show even sent him a custom fedora. I see nothing to make fun of here.
I hope that doesn't turn into a sad internet story. Because at the moment, everything seems pretty okay, and it's nice to see a young kid so happy about something so simple and not complaining about everything.
He appeared on Chris Hardwick's comedy central show last night. http://www.comedycentral.com/episodes/3ivv9m/-midnight-wednesday--february-5--2014-season-1-ep-01019
Alright, let's calculate for a bit how much this kid might've earned if he had a YT Partnership (which he likely didn't) from the start. He does not, since his videos have ads on them, ie. they're monetized. So far he's got 2,142,125 total views on all his videos combined. Assume about 35% of all views are monetized (because some people use Adblock or skip ads). That's about 749,743 monetized views. Assume he's on regular YT Partnership (and not a network), he should be earning about 1-2 dollars CPM (per thousand views). That's about 749-1499 dollars. In two days. Not bad!
I haven't even hit 1000 subs yet Time to delete everything and VLOG my life
I'm dying at the YouTube comments.
You've sold out man. Ever since you hit the 2 like mark you've been forgetting about your fans. Now you're world famous, in all those Budweiser commercials, and I heard you dumped Jessica Nigri for Alyssa Milano? I'm pretty sure that's a hate crime. You changed man. You changed. Why don't you ever call me?!•
his name is Sir Fedora, why doesn't this count as obviously fake?
his name is Sir Fedora, why doesn't this count as obviously fake?
Because he's like 8 years old.
Awww. He's adorable. Reminds me of when I was 8 myself. Subbed.
Just wait till the internet bullies get to him and he doesn't understand why everyone is so mean. Just wait..
YouTube's equivalent of tropsical :v:
YouTube's equivalent of tropsical :v:
Man that guy is amazing
Man that guy is amazing
hi killer guy,,
Kind of pissing me off how the article rehosted his videos on their page rather than embedding the youtube video itself. "This kid was so humbled by getting such a simple form of interaction. We'll take his video and have it be ours. But we'll put a small link at the bottom of the page."
