He's looking pretty fly in this.
I want an official version of his cover, I much prefer his vocals over the original.
That freaking rocked.
The person behind the camera was blocked by some dude with his phone out, so they filmed that guys phone to get the shot.
Amazing.
It amazes me the guy still tours. He hasn't put out an album since 2005, but he was apparently pretty popular in the UK at a time.
Kinda sad that lots of people just know him as the Rick Roll guy, because he's great and has way more than just one song. At least it got him more recognition.
Eduard Khil sang pretty good too but I can't really see people listening to Russian music just because one song of his went viral (he was the "trololol" guy)

He still pops out new singles every now and then, like Lights Out.
Honestly he's a damn good singer. Hope he does another album sometime soon.

Shot from a different angle, much clearer vocals.
He's such a real guy, it's crazy.

I think part of the great thing about the Rick Roll is that (unlike, say, "Friday") "Never Gonna Give You Up" is a genuinely enjoyable song. Rick Rolling is probably part of the reason I got into 80s music so much. Once you get past the "aw dammit, they linked me to that video again" you find a fun, upbeat song that's great to sing along to.
I think it's pretty respectable that he's still staying relevant
Not only is he still a damn good singer, he's also aged really well. This guy should be more famous than he is.

Not that amazing. He was using portrait instead of landscape. Fucking asshole. When are phone makers going to make the camera automatically switch. Does anyone have a 9:16 screen? No

Yeah, a real fucking asshole for doing the one thing so many people do.

one of the reasons he's so great to sing along to is that he's not a fucking tenor like 95% of male singers in the last 6 decades

Also he's a pretty good frontman, he's lively but not in an awkward way on stage

there needs to be a baritone vocals in modern music thread

It's still somewhat frustrating since you can easily rotate a phone screen, but not a computer monitor.
Fucking Rick Astley is a god damn dreamboat.
I had no idea Rick was still active, what a joy to see.
He got really sexy.
