Actually, the video's audio includes the "can't select" audio used usewhere in the game when the cursor is over Rayman, which likely means that Rayman isn't in a playable state yet, or the game shows DLC characters that you don't actually have yet in the CSS like Mario Kart 8 does.

The clearer screenshots in the /v/ thread actually make this look even more legit. There are tons of tiny details that a fake wouldn't have accounted for, not to mention the Rayman and Mewtwo renders are 100% original and not derivative of any existing models or art. His pose is also based off of the original Rayman boxart, which is a nice, Sakurai-ish touch.

I believe it, personally. It is odd that they don't show any gameplay, though. Maybe he's not finished yet. They've probably been working on him for a while, because the backstory behind his trophy being in the game was that Ubisoft sent them a fully-rigged and usable character model for inclusion in-game, but it was said that they decided not to include him. I guess Sakurai changed his mind.

(Please bring Snake back, Sakurai. I'll do whatever you want.)

faking a screenshot isn't the same thing as faking the entire menu in action, especially when it's shown through shaky cam which limits any fuckery he could get away with. this shit would've taken an insane amount of effort as compared to those other static 'leaks', he would've basically had to recreate the smash brothers menus 1:1. And that's not even addressing what appears to be brand new renders of mewtwo and rayman, he would've had to make those models as well.

wow yea those are actually really good points. i'm mostly just remaining skeptical so that in the rare chance this ends up fake i don't end up being super upset, but yeah this seems p. much confirmed now.
