It's IGN but I thought this was really cool, shows how detailed the animations are.
Ragdolls aren't necessarily animation as much as they are physics simulation. But the particles are nicely detailed like when the golf cart rammed into the golfers, and the little shards reflected light as they hit the right angles. That was cool.
how do you do the car hood slide
how do you do the car hood slide
Press Square/X when facing a car hood sideways, like not towards the windshield obviously. You might have to be running while doing it.
how do you do the car hood slide
Press jump while sprinting toward the front of the car. You can also do it over low boxes and wide walls.

Triangle, Left, Right(2), Square, R2, R1 Y, Left, Right(2), X, RT, RB

Every damn video I see makes me crave this more and more. Way too much nostalgia from my teenage years spending weeks playing San Andreas. Fuck. I wish I had a PS3 right now. I had one but it was stolen in a burglary literally 2 weeks ago.

Pretty sure the PC version will have the video editor again and we can slow down time like crazy in it.

I played GTA IV on the PC and it just wasn't the same, but maybe that's just me.

Guess I just liked the graphical improvement and flexibility of modding that came with it.

I guess it's because ports are just ports, they're really built around the platform they were originally made for. Kind of like how TF2 sucks shit on consoles.

Man do I love moonlight sonata.

Unlike in a typical animated mesh, meshes animated using Endorphin/Euphoria are capable of reacting to gravity and other physical contact, and the bones are sort of puppeting the sections of the mesh, (All of which have different weights). When a character is running away from a car for instance, the animation isn't being effected physically by anything, but when the car hits a trigger tells the animated skeleton to basically stop where they are and drop. This not only allows for really fast switching between animation and ragdoll, it also allows the developer to inject animation 'snippets' into a ragdoll instance, creating a natural and realistic reaction to physical interaction. It's an amazing technology and I really suggest reading up on it or looking at the Endorphin demo thing. This is mostly from memory, I read up on it before GTA:IV was released and I thought it was mindblowing.

No speed control, you just press W to hit the gas. You can't just ease forward easily, same with turning.

SA, IV, EFLC, and soon V are all much better on PC however. [editline]25th September 2013[/editline]
Driving feels a lot more rigid on the PC. This game looks stunning. It's going to look amazing on PC if it even has a modicum of optimization.
With the III trilogy it doesn't matter as you'd just press x on consoles to accelerate.
now it all makes sense, never played IV/EFLC on a console there should be a keyboard with a thumbstick in place of the WASD keys, that'd work yeah
