Activision is helping too. They have sent a group of helpers there. But you have to pay them 60$/hour or else they won't give a fuck.

Valve really isn't donating anything they are more of a median for people who are donating money..but they did pioneer this so hats off to them

I don't see why people bitch about the hats, they're there to customize your character, if you don't like them, don't use them/stop being jealous.

It seems almost like a PR gimmick to me. If they really wanted to show they cared they could at least match the price of the donation with their own money to double it. I highly doubt valve would notice a million or two missing from their bank account. I guess it's still a nice gesture.
