In an interview with IGN, del Toro said, "I love working with Kojima-san. We are still in touch. We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that’s not going to be [Silent Hills]."
Please be Quiet Mounds...
"We were talking about really pushing the boundaries of the new consoles, and making the game really mess with your head.
It's such a shame that the game was cancelled. So much potential.
Cue Kickstarter. But really, hope things work out well for them. I'm certain they'll be able to make something awesome together.
I can only hope that whatever Koji and Del Toro works on will be amazing. And also a hearty fuck you to Konami.
I really hope it's a horror game. Silent Hills was something the genre needed dearly
I'm glad Kojima is still doing what he enjoys doing at least.
Yesssssssssssss
Hopefully they get Norman Reedus back on the role, because there'll be people out there that'll pay attention to it because of him.
I hope the project has to do with horror, Silent Hills was gonna be amazing and it got killed sadly. P.T. was only a small game they worked on and it was still scary and shit and fun to play, a full game would be even more amazing.
Kojima and Guillermo need to become partners. Then they can make Hellboy 3 and new games together.
Would be bitchin to have a call of cuthulhu game since Del Toro is a huge fan of HP Lovecraft
Fuck yeah, theres no stoppin' those 2 giants
Cue Kickstarter.
I wouldn't doubt it at this point either. I mean hell, who wouldn't want to give money to Kojima not just for a game, but as a "fuck you" to Konami? As much as it does suck that Kojima got fucked in the ass by Konami, at least Kojima will be free to create whatever game he wants to. It's been clear since MGS2 that he's wanted to work on a completely new game, but MGS is where the money was at, so he just put his head down and worked on the next MGS game because that's what Konami wanted. I'd love to see a game that apes back to very classic Kojima games. Games like SNATCHER and Policenauts. Spiritual successors to those would be awesome.
Make another horror game with the same idea. Doesn't have to be Silent Hill to be a good horror game.
Would be bitchin to have a call of cuthulhu game since Del Toro is a huge fan of HP Lovecraft
That'd be really cool, not enough lovecraftian games out there. While Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth and Eternal Darkness are great games, the only recent lovecraftian game we've had was Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and I'd even argue it's the most lovecraftian game tbh.
Del Toro's got so much planned. I hope he makes time to actually make this happen. Seriously, look at all this.
Good. PT was supposed to be different from the Silent Hills game according to the disclaimer. They don't need to be attached to the SH franchise. I've never funded a kickstarter but I will throw all the money my broke ass has at them
Loud valleys trailer when?
I smell a kickstarter.
-snip thought this was the MGS thread cause I'm dumb-
so we get a Silent Hill game in spirit ( just not in name ) good for me. ..
Maybe del Toro will bring back that inSANE thing he was doing with Volition before THQ started collapsing in on itself?
Hideo Kojima's Pacific Rim: The Video Game.
no Silent Hill replacement is want I want
Hideo Kojima's Pacific Rim: The Video Game.
I would probably play the hell out of that. After all, I'm a sucker for mechs and giant monsters.
Would be bitchin to have a call of cuthulhu game since Del Toro is a huge fan of HP Lovecraft
fuck no. del toro and kojima are so amazingly creative i'd much rather see them going for a whole new story rather than an adaptation of an existing (and, imo, overrated) universe
Fair dues. Leave the Lovecraft adaptation for a solo venture, let del Toro and Kojima brainstorm something new together on this outing. Also, how would you say the Cthulhu Mythos is "overrated"? I don't quite see what you mean.
Hideo Kojima's Pacific Rim: The Video Game.
Pacific Rim game with Zone of the Enders gameplay. I'm rock hard right now.
Where is Monster, Del Toro???
fuck no. del toro and kojima are so amazingly creative i'd much rather see them going for a whole new story rather than an adaptation of an existing (and, imo, overrated) universe
what ever so long as it's horror and it have's a hellish dimension I am happy
