This is a game you should get one of these days. One of them.
Insurgency could be good, but there is no teamplay on public servers at all nor is there alot of freedom
Going to get this game (Trading, not buying.) is it worth it?

Exactly. It's not exactly the tactical game they want it to be... but hey, it's still fun as a source game shooter with different shooting mechanics.

Yes, it is.
Is this game active nuf' to warrant a purchase?
I haven't seen this game in years. Looks like they ruined the fuck out of it.
The fake accent is really putting me off. Also like everyone has said, this looks nothing like the original.

The differences are largely cosmetic. The mechanics are pretty much the same as before, just with a different visual style and some altered weapons. Really the biggest actual difference is map design, and the devs have stated they plan to re-introduce old maps from the mod, as well as mod support, so the map design is unlikely to become a serious problem.
The game is exactly the same, the only difference is that an idiot is playing.
+ the fact that they added super leet tacticool operator crap.
Seriously.. a reddot and a foregrip on a SKS? :/
Ughh I miss the good old days.. where you would actually shoot out of your rifle instead of centre view, where your voice gave up after 1 hour of playing because you kept on shouting "MOVE THE FUCK UP".
Rip Insurgency.

What he said. The original felt like a (faster paced) modern Red Orchestra. Maps that are presented in the alpha are really confined and doesn't allow for the same tactical gameplay. Oh and the weapon attachments are stupid, I wish they'd just scrap the whole thing.
the were slowly ruining the original insurgency more and more with every update. i'm not surprised that this is the eventual path they took
I actually have been playing the new Insurgency game and I have to say (I only played insurgency mod two times) it's a pretty intense mod. I like how you can't run and gun. I also saw a few tactical strategies. Such as in the entrance of one map (don't remember it's name) the security team covered all the windows and tried to push the insurgency back with suppressing fire. I also saw more suppressing fire to allow more of the team members to get across a hallway. Obviously this game has quite a way to go, but it seems the devs are trying to make it work well. There is a survey that opens up when you close your game, asking what your thoughts are and what improvements they should make. One of the biggest problems I have seen though are a few unbalanced maps and a lot of team killing.

Hahaha, ah good stuff.
At every chance I would make a point to distribute pistol slugs into those campers' asses.
I bought it hoping it'd be like the original, but was disappointed. Not as fun as the original, I just get frustrated because people sit all game holding awkward angles instead of actually playing the objective.
Just got this game. Maybe FP should organize a game?
