Varg Vikernes band Burzum banned on Ebay due to hate crime.
It would seem that Varg Vikernes' recent hate crime sentencing has reached eBay, as the popular website has banned the sale of all Burzum items.
As Metal Sucks reports, it is no longer possible to list new Burzum items on the site due to Varg's promotion of "hatred, violence and intolerance."
Who is Varg Vikernes? Varg Vikernes is a Black metal artist and notorious for his actions. He murdered a man with a shotgun, burned down some 3 churches and had stolen over 150kg of explosives. He recently served a 21 year jail sentence and is now considered free.
ebay isn't even kvlt.
Is he the guy that killed that one guy whole literally made a stew out of the brains of another guy that killed himself?

This sounds like someone trying to start a rumor.
varg didn'[t kill anyone with a shotgun, dead killed himself with the shotgun euronymous gave him
Looked it up. The guy that he did kill once found out a band member killed himself, he didn't call authorities, instead he took a picture of the gruesome scene to use for his album cover. The brain stew was just a rumor.

and they made bone fragment necklaces out of dead's skull and varg killed euronymous because he was a dick apparently
really out of all of them euronymous was the biggest asshole

well, idk about that.
Varg frequently mailed bombs to israeli metal bands.
I don't really understand this - it's entirely possible to listen to Varg's work and enjoy it without agreeing with his political views and actions. Listening to Filosofem generally won't turn a person fascist, either.

Source for this? I've heard a lot of shit but never that.

the documentary "Global Metal" by Sam Dunn interviews a few israeli bands and they talk about Varg and they bring up getting a bomb from him in the 90's.
He was a self admitted neo nazi at the time so I wouldn't really put it past him, but it does in many ways come down to his word against the band, though I've never heard him deny it.

Political correctness/desperately catering to the overly-sensitive users. They ban Nazi memorabilia as well when they want to; like, authentic militaria items and even photographs.
It's stupid. Especially in this case.
None of his music deals with his political beliefs. They allow the sale of prisoners artwork do they not? His music has no political affiliation.

I don't think it's that extreme of a viewpoint to think that people shouldn't be profiting off nazism

it's less that they're worried about people becoming fascist if they listen to his music, more that they don't want their website to be used to give a crazy nazi money (i love burzum)
Burzum is overrated anyway, it's all about Die Toten Kehren Wieder Mit Dem Wind.
Varg used to make good music, now he's just a fucking nut who lives on a farm in France because he wants to isolate himself from modern society.

Why just Nazism? They have no trouble selling Soviet memorabilia and militaria. And some of the stuff they censor is just stupid; Sanke cards from World War I of Hermann Goering, for instance. But apparently, coins from Nazi-Germany are alright to sell.
How does this process of determining what flies and what doesn't work with them exactly. That's what I want to know. Because it seems very erratic and foolish.

Doesn't the profit from eBay sales go directly to the seller, though? If you're selling secondhand, then the creator wouldn't make any money.
What a fucking whacko

Varg was also getting death threats from euronymous too, there was tons of tension between them at that point anyway AFAIK.
From what I can gather Euronymous would send death threats to people or tell people he was going to kill them as a joke all the time but Varg was a sperglord loner without a sense of humour and took them seriously.

In Varg's defense, that's a pretty crappy joke.
