Carly Fiorina shot into second place in the Republican presidential field on the heels of another strong debate performance, and Donald Trump has lost some support, a new national CNN/ORC poll shows.
The survey, conducted in the three days after 23 million people tuned in to Wednesday night's GOP debate on CNN, shows that Trump is still the party's front-runner with 24% support. That, though, is an 8 percentage point decrease from earlier in the month when a similar poll had him at 32%.
Fiorina ranks second with 15% support -- up from 3% in early September. She's just ahead of Ben Carson's 14%, though Carson's support has also declined from 19% in the previous poll.
Driving Trump's drop and Fiorina's rise: a debate in which 31% of Republicans who watched said Trump was the loser, and 52% identified Fiorina as the winner.
So...Is she bad too? or whats her thing?
Oh wait, she laid off 30,000 employees at Hewlett Packard.
This is why you shouldn't vote for her

She also grew the company a couple times over if memory serves me right
But yeah her social policies are just like the other republicans

Seems pretty good to me actually, the only thing I'd change is exceptions for people in poverty too. Abortions should be allowed in specific cases, not to completely remove responsibility.
Ban abortions 20 weeks after fertilization
Except one of the most important scans that can tell if the kid is going to have any of a large amount of issues takes place at 20 weeks.
All the republican candidates are jokes.
They all seem to have like, at the very least, 3-4 backwards, primitive, ideologies.

Literally one line below:
Fiorina supports the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which bans abortions 20 weeks after fertilization, except in cases of rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother.
Eh, it's not as bad as the other republican candidates. Most of them support a no abortions at all rule even in the case of rape or incest.
Literally one line below:
Danger to the mother, not the child. If you discover your child has some terrible dysfunction that will essentially make your life and the child's life hell, you can't abort.

How common is that right now? Honest question, I've always wondered if that was something that people did often but haven't really looked into.
Like where do you draw the line between excessive suffering for both parties, or a set of parents just not wanting to deal with a mentally challenged child.

Abortion should be allowed in most all circumstances. If you make it difficult for someone to get a legal abortion, they'll get an illegal abortion. I can tell you the #1 reason I am pro choice is in case I accidentally knock up my girlfriend

If you have to spend your whole life taking care of a kid, only to have that kid require constant help from a care facility for their whole lives, is that a great life?
Some people would honestly avoid that for themselves, and the child's sake. You want to create a productive member of society, and unfortunately a lot of disabled people aren't able to do that, some can sure, but we don't have a system set up for that any where in the world really. Deciding to not have that child is no one else's business but that families
It's not the governments job to be teaching young people morality

No she uh basically ruined HP.
She had to get literally fired because she was so incompetent she drove the company into the ground. She caused a 50% loss in stock value during her time there and gutted the company with her policies.
Also she basically lied straight up through out the debate, and she keeps using her daughter's death as somekind of political pity tool. It's disgusting.
[editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
She basically comes off like a psychopath, but that's not much different from almost all the other republican candidates.
With the way things are going, by the end of the primaries every candidate on the republican roster will probably have been at second place at some point.
I assumed she was a joke candidate with a pun on California as an aliases.

1) she has some pretty god damn arbitrary numbers for the "correct" level of military armaments we should have, like litterally she's naming off the exact figure of ships each of the US fleets should have, the levels of marines each battalion should have... its really really arbitrary
2) she's trying to channel the ghost of margret thatcher, and she's not doing good
3) she made up everything about the abortion videos
other than that, her tenure at HP was pretty mixed, basically she oversaw the tech bubble of 2000, most of that growth she attributed to her leadership was from acquiring compaq but the company was in very bad shape and she basically left the HP worse off than it was when she got there

Her answers at the debate make it seem like she would be very antagonistic with Putin and Russia. Not sure if I'm up for re-escalating to another cold war.

everybody at that debate would except for bush, kasich, and probably carson, though i don't think antagonising the russia or china will make for better foreign policy, and her hard line stance on rapid regan-esque expansion of the military is laughable when we've just had 12 years of massive military expansion due to iraq and afghanistan

She's level-headed for the most part, but I disagree with her stance on net neutrality.
She supports the NSA and I believe she's actively helped with invasion of privacy. She made some good points during the debate, but that combined with her pro-war stance makes me very reluctant to support her. I think she said at one point during the debate that she would threaten to cut off trade relationships with countries doing things she didn't like. Problem with that is that if that country refuses to budge, then our economy gets fucked over as well. We can't afford to lose it with how much we rely on trade, just look at the tariffs before the Great Depression.
It's a real shame that more people aren't coming out in opposition to the NSA. With the outrage it caused, I initially thought that there was no way it would last past the next election with how controversial it is. Rand Paul hates spying and it's one of his main talking points, but he's sitting at 8th place in the polls. As far as I know he's the only one who is really trying to restrict the power of the government. I know Bernie Sanders opposes the NSA as well, but I've only seen him passively mention it in interviews a couple of times, so I'm not sure if he would get much done on it.

Yeah, especially Trump's ideas to "Bully Putin" and try to force Iran to give back American hostages before he's even inaugurated. As if they wouldn't laugh his ass all they way back to his private jet.
