Was reading about this in the papers, the minute I read it I wanted to see a video. Also I wasn't aware the rocket testing facility was in Utah. [editline]11:29PM[/editline] Also I heart it was five stages, I wanted to see some parts flinging off :frown:

When you consider how much energy is being forced out the back of that thing, the size really starts to seem tiny.

How the hell did they keep that from not moving when it's generating that amount of push.

Can you imagine being that little lizard that was just crawling by, minding its own business.... Looks like NASA is getting better at getting things right from day 1, Anyone ever see the Shuttle Enterprise after its first flight test? After it landed it was missing a LOT of its heat tiles, and that just launched from the top of a 747

It's stopping something once it has momentum that is difficult. Strap it down and put a heavy structure in front of it and it isn't going to go anywhere any time soon. Give it some wiggle room and things get difficult, because it's hard to stop something that large once it gets moving.

Was the ground glowing afterwards? :O
