• Trump has business interests in 6 Muslim-majority countries exempt from travel ban
Even as President Trump takes steps to restrict visitors from some majority-Muslim countries, he and his family continue to do business in some of the others. Ethics experts question whether that might indicate conflicts between Trump's business interests and his role as U.S. president. The executive action, "Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States," targets seven nations: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Trump has no business interests in those countries. One other thing they have in common, as NPR's Greg Myre writes: "No Muslim extremist from any of these places has carried out a fatal attack in the U.S. in more than two decades." The 19 terrorists in the Sept. 11 attacks were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, Myre points out. They are among the Muslim-majority countries not affected by Trump's immigration freeze, but where Trump does business. He has significant commercial interests in Turkey and Azerbaijan, is developing properties in Indonesia and Dubai, and has formed companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. His daughter Ivanka said in 2015 that the company was looking at "multiple opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Saudi Arabia — the four areas where we are seeing the most interest."
http://www.npr.org/2017/01/28/511996783/how-does-trumps-immigration-freeze-square-with-his-business-interests
List of people surprised:
If this isn't an obvious conflict of interest then I don't know what the fuck is.
"Crooked Hillary" lmfao, the irony.
The fact people still unironically defend this piece of shit by saying 'but Hillary is corrupt and would start a war!' is retarded (not to mention disturbing).
I can already see people getting extremely mad because you have Trump on the title
For the British facepunch folk regarding this and Teresa may. Worth a read and signand share, condemn this fool. It was shared by Jeremy Corbyn last evening https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171928
Hey guys, at least you dodged a bullet by not electing $Hillary Clinton, after all didn't she have ties to the Saudis? If this keeps up my sanity is genuinely going to suffer. I am almost convinced I live in a satirical novel.

Got me thinking, how would the reception have been if someone suggested this pre-election? Anyway, either Trump knows travel ban is pure pandering or he puts his business interests before national security (not that I think there is a threat this would counter anyway).
"Crooked Hillary" lmfao, the irony.
The very moment Bernie dropped out, US citizens lost.

May's already said she looks forward to talks with Trump despite shit-talking him before so that shows how spineless our leadership is.
Condemning his & May's actions should be a higher priority than blocking his entry to the country.
Why not do both?
Why not do both?
Well, yeah...
In addition, there has never been a single fatal terrorist attack on US soil from a national from the six countries banned. The 9/11 hijackers were composed of 15 Saudis, 2 people from the UAE, one from Lebanon, and one from Egypt - none of which have been banned or restricted in any way. We'll go ahead and block Yemen, but we'll literally sell Saudi Arabia the weapons to continue bombing Yemen. Saudi Arabia is the heartland of Wahhabism, but because they have money, eh, ignore it.
Coincidentally, these are also six relatively stable and peaceful majority Muslim countries, without ongoing war or insurection.
;51745773']Coincidentally, these are also six relatively stable and peaceful majority Muslim countries, without ongoing war or insurection.
Yeah Indonesia is doing just fine last I checked
;51745773']Coincidentally, these are also six relatively stable and peaceful majority Muslim countries, without ongoing war or insurection.
He didn't even put Palestine on the list. The only one with significant ongoing violent strife is Yemen, and we're funding that violence through Saudi Arabia. What a fucking joke. edit: corrected oops
If this isn't an obvious conflict of interest then I don't know what the fuck is.
well you see, because he does business there he knows the people and knows they deeply love america and should be allowed through the big gate. trump knows more about these countries than everybody else because he has deep respect for them so he should continue his business ties there but he doesnt have to because the law doesnt bar him from doing it and... they'll spin it, they always do
Signed, already above 100,000 signatures so it'll be considered for debate in Parliament.
450000 now and growing fast
the travel ban's targeted countries seem to be from DHS designations of countries of concern from 2015, during the obama administration. the travel ban is extremely bad as many already have explained in detail but trump isn't picking countries for being muslim dominated or for his own interests. his executive order only mentioned syria which is already on that list. Just trying to keep the criticisms of the ban valid.
He didn't even put Palestine on the list. The only one with significant ongoing violent strife is Yemen, and we're funding that violence through Saudi Arabia. What a fucking joke. edit: corrected oops
Trump's administration didn't put anyone on the list. The list of countries being denied admission are those listed under the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 (Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan), plus Somalia, Libya, and Yemen which were added a year later in 2016.

The point is to make our small voices heard loud and clear
Ripped from reddit on the same article. [t]http://i.imgur.com/0AUKjG3.png[/t] Link to the DHS law https://www.dhs.gov/news/2016/02/18/dhs-announces-further-travel-restrictions-visa-waiver-program
List of people surprised:
i see this in every thread but i can't see the list wtf
I was wondering why he's calling it a muslim travel ban while exempting the country with the largest muslim population in the world from the list, now it all makes sense
i see this in every thread but i can't see the list wtf
Is this a serious question?
i see this in every thread but i can't see the list wtf
I can definitely see that list.
