Damn, this is super old and I completely forgot about this game til now. Sometime in 2007 or so, I remember a friend and I played this and Chaos Faction almost every single day in computer class :v:

I never realized they made two more sequels in the series. And I guess it's appropriate Ross compared the series to the Alien franchise. The first is good, the second is just as good, the third suffers from stupid meddling, and the fourth...well, let's just not talk about it.
Shame he couldn't play Union City the way he wanted. The always-online thing bothered me too, but the game itself was really, really enjoyable, and I was really impressed with how much effort they put into it and how far the game had come

But I never even heard of Dead Zone. Goddamnit. The game got transformed from a flash game classic to another soulless milk machine.
The Last Stand is still one of the most memorable flash games I've ever played, its up there with Portal TFV.
