Maho Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations in St Maarten, where people can go to have fun doing things like sunbathing, swimming, and other various forms of beach-going merriment. The unusual aspect to this beach is it's unusual location, which has it smack dab in the middle of the approach path for runway 10 of Princess Juliana International Airport, making it equally famous for being a popular plane spotting location. The orientation of the flight path to the runway makes it so that planes coming in to land fly mere meters over the beach, which makes for pretty spectacular photographs and videos.

These photos looked so unreal to some that at first they were thought to be fakes. All we know now is they are very real and very amazing.

Maybe if you're very tall you could be decapitated by an airplane's wheel
It's so dangerous you need a special rating to fly there.
And to make matters worse, at the other end of the runway there are ~5000ft hills, so if your aircraft is having trouble climbing out, you best start panicking..
I'd love to go there.
