There's just no specific word for female dog in Arabic so it's literally the exact same insult.

In Arabic, calling someone a dog is mainly insulting due to the fact (like Elecbullet said) that a dog is considered dirty. We say (excuse if I spell it wrong) "Yebnil Kelb" which means "Your father is a dog". If you say "Ya Kelb" to someone, it's basically saying "You Dog". We have a word for bitch in Arabic, I'm not sure if it's bitch as in a female dog, or just a word that means bitch, but it's pronounced "Gawad". So yeah, calling someone a dog is insulting in Arab countries due to the fact that dogs are dirty creatures (or at least Arabs consider them to be dirty).
