Would this work with a steering wheel? :raise:
Woah. I LIKE this.
I still doubt flight with thrusters will work, even if I'm flipping my joystick all over the place like a kid with chronic masturbation problems.
Would this work with a steering wheel? :raise:
Of course, it is a DirectInput module.
I still doubt flight with thrusters will work, even if I'm flipping my joystick all over the place like a kid with chronic masturbation problems.
Joystick Module is compatible with Wire, so you can make automatic correctional thrusts.

Oh, awesome. Is it clientside?
Oh, awesome. Is it clientside?
Read the news. It requiers a serverside module to work!
That's a shame. [editline]12:28PM[/editline] I won't pretend it affects me though. I'm a single player man :smug:
If someone wanted, he/she could write a 100% clientside module that translates joystick inputs to numpad inputs. It would be pretty easy, in fact.
If someone wanted, he/she could write a 100% clientside module that translates joystick inputs to numpad inputs. It would be pretty easy, in fact.
I thought this already did that? Maybe I had a different joystick addon then...
This only includes a module for interfacing with Wire. Joystick Module is principally for developers, but I wanted players to adopt it early to encourage developers to use it...so, I coded an interface for Wire. In retrospect, I should have probably split it into two addons...but the module is built to support multiple interfaces. This means that a gamemode or other addon could plug into it very easily. For the layman: Someone else can create an extension, such as a numpad input extension, without coordinating with me or changing my code. The new extension could be 100% clientside, requiring no updates to the server.
To find servers with this addon installed, simply search for the tag "joystick_v25".
I was just thinking about this addon the other day when I was looking over my addons. I was to lazy to search for it. Now that garry has plopped it out here, I'll just grab it. Thanks, I loved this addon when I had it installed on my other computer, and now I have it again. I remember having a little bit of a problem with it, I wonder if the bugs are all cleared up (I don't remember what the bugs were exactly).
Awesome, also works with PS3 controller, i love you
