I found this video of a woman who has created a sanctuary for all of the cats that would otherwise be killed -- she is currently sheltering about 700 cats. They run free and happy over her 12 acres. I donated $200 to this place a couple years ago, I just wish I could visit, but I'm all the way over in Australia :( I REALLY support these kinds of places, such a good alternative to a cage or being put down.
