California lawmaker arrested for DUI after voting to ban ride-sharing
California Senator Ben Hueso may not like how transportation companies like Uber and Lyft are operating in his state, but he may want to use those services the next time he goes out drinking.
On Thursday, Hueso — whose brothers own cab companies — voted in favor of a bill that would impose several new regulations on companies like Uber, Lyft, and Sidecar. Then, as noted by CalNewsroom, Hueso was caught drunk driving the very next day.
What good can come from limiting ride-sharing anyways?
I don't understand, what's wrong with ride-sharing exactly?

That's fucked up how there is a very obvious conflict of interest here that can ruin his career and get him thrown in a federal prison for corruption, yet his brothers aren't willing to arrange a cab for their hermano

considering his brothers owns cab companies it's purely for personal gain.
What determines ride-sharing anyway?

Ride-sharing is just carpooling. Multiple people ride in one vehicle to reduce the amount of cars on the road, thus reducing fuel emmisions.

That would be laughable if it weren't so sad.
Why do Senators always seem to make conflict-of-interest decisions?
