The company's site now boasts a logo topped by the NBC peacock, previously used only for NBC-affiliated channels. The peacock is one of the best-known American media symbols, and it's a bit strange to see it linked to the part of Comcast better known for installing cable and internet. According to The Wall Street Journal, the logo will replace Comcast's current one on trucks, advertisements, and cable bills, though Comcast services themselves will continue to be use the Xfinity brand.
Can't blame them, very recognizable logo.
Seeing the logo with Comcast under it just feels so... wrong.
that's their logo? looks lazy as fuck
How will this merger effect NBC's shows? NBC is one of the only cable networks that produces shows I actually enjoy like Parks & Rec and 30 Rock.
A cable network merging with my internet provider. This could only go well..
That look out of place. And painfully unoriginal. Even the red "c" logo was more original.
A cable network merging with my internet provider. This could only go well..
NBC is public broadcast for the most part, not including all the msnbc channels
comcast fucking blows
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
Holy shit I just realized that the NBC logo is a peacock. I thought it was just some pretty colors
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
/facepunch
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
Great Thanks for pointing that out
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
Christ, that is obnoxious. [editline]11th December 2012[/editline] It wouldn't be so bad if it was rounded at upper points and flat at the bottom, but the way the M has both a rounded and a flat edge is really odd.
Wait, the NBC logo is a peacock? I always thought it was some sort of half-a-rainbow-orange fruit thing.
Fuck comcast. Fuck em I say.
Wait, the MSN logo is a peacock? I always thought it was some sort of half-a-rainbow-orange fruit thing.
I always thought it was a butterfly the fuck I think you mean MSNBC
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
Oh my god why would you do that to me? That's just cruel.
I always thought it was a butterfly the fuck I think you mean MSNBC
Whoops, I'm always doing that :v:
It wouldn't be so bad if it was rounded at upper points and flat at the bottom, but the way the M has both a rounded and a flat edge is really odd.
i think it's supposed to be that the round ends are where one would typically start the stroke if writing with a pen, but it still doesn't work with the t
Whoops, I'm always doing that :v:
I used to always think MSNBC was a company parented by MSN
Holy shit I just realized that the NBC logo is a peacock. I thought it was just some pretty colors
futurama taught me this long ago
How will this merger effect NBC's shows? NBC is one of the only cable networks that produces shows I actually enjoy like Parks & Rec and 30 Rock.
as far as I know, the merger happened like last year. The whole "kabletown" merger in 30 Rock is a parallel to this one
the font in that logo angers me because the letters have both round and square ends on them
It's *artistic*
It's *artistic*
it's terrible
it's terrible
It's artistically terrible.
The text should be smaller and the logo should be bigger and it should fit under each other
I used to always think MSNBC was a company parented by MSN
It is. Kind of.
