seriously this is the hardest thing i've ever done. or rather not done yet. I can't believe tobacco is legal. it's enslaving man. actually I think the addictive properties of alcohol and tobacco are one of the main reasons they are still legal and weed isn't. but whatever. this is so fucking hard. i keep caving and taking some tobacco through my vaporizer.
you're vaping tobacco? weird. anyways, i kinda casually smoked for a few months. never really got to be a problem for me, i just stopped bumming them off people and i didn't even notice quitting. but i guess it sucks if you smoke a pack a day or shit like that. good luck man.
if it helps, just resist the urge to go buy a pack of smokes. i think cold turkey was the best way when i've quit, temporarily, unfortunately. just keep your mind off of it, and maybe instead of buying cigarettes, buy gum to replace the habit.
i do think it's rather funny how some people are benefiting a shit load off of people's addiction Some tips for op; for the ultimate craving, take 3 deep breaths and poof the craving is gone. also chew sunflower seeds.
Yeah it sucks hard, I don't know how far in your quitting project you are but in my experience the physical craving gets much less prominent after two days and from then on it's more about not falling for the temptation of a quick drag or smoke.
My Dad quit smoking pretty easy. He was taking business trips overseas and found that he got no craving for cigs when he was on the trip because he knew he couldn't have any. But as soon as he got back he'd start smoking again. So he decided take just not start smoking again after one of his trips and quit rather easy. He was a real heavy smoker too. So what you could gain from this is that putting yourself into a situation where you can't have tobacco will likely help out a ton, because then it's more than a battle of the mind. I'd suggest getting rid of all your tobacco and to make a way to limit your ability to buys smokes.
Talking cold turkey here, worked for 6 months before the festivals came around and I just couldn't help it :s

I managed to detox from morphine, and I tried quitting smoking right afterwards, and I haven't managed to quit yet.
Cold Turkey here, been around 6 months now and just the idea of smoking a cigarette almost makes me puke so..
sunflower seeds is a great idea by the way. i sat on my couch watching episode after episode of dexter eating spitz and by the time i remembered i hadnt gone for a smoke in a long time we'd already watched like 5 episodes. (i usually go for a smoke every 30-45 mins)
E-cigs are an easy way to quit.
I keep trying to quit but also keep getting stressed out at college and being forced to either buy cigs or ask someone for one :(
eh isn't as hard as I thought. I've been having a couple pieces of nicorette a day and I've been ok. I'm thinking that I'll reward myself by buying a kindle or new glasses or something in a couple weeks if i still haven't smoked
new glasses? Calm Down! also yeah. quitting if you Actually want to is okay. when you're just like 'meh might try quit' - not so easy. determination is they key and u will be a princess
oh wow, the sunflower seeds. I just remember watching a video of some old guy talking about how he quit smoking and he mentioned the seeds. ever since i've mentioned the seeds everytime someone talks about kicking the cig habit. so i guess its good then
this is why I've never started
It's why I've never started habitually to a point where I knew I was likely to become addicted. They can pretty easily be used in moderation without risk of addiction, just like any other drug.
Smoking weed help me quit tobacco, but i was high as a motherfucker for 2 weeks. And i only lasted 3 months before i started again, I really should quit but i just don't care... which is bad.
