looks really good
even though the cat suit seems kinda silly, this might be one the best mario games out there, it's looks incredibly fun
certainly better than New Super Mario at least
damn, i usually hate mario games that arent like galaxy or sunshine, but this looks fun as fuck, really makes me want a U
glad to see they're finally changing up the level motifs.
cat mario? is that supposed to be a reference or am i missing something here
looks amazing
That clip of him following the ghost mii was hilarious, how did he know that below the wheels was a secret, and not a very painful death?
I like how they're finally taking influence from Super Mario Bros. 2.

It's a much more clever secret than NSMB's "secrets" which tended to involve large neon signs with MOST CERTAINLY NOT A SECRET HERE written on them.

the wii u version of nsmb didn't really have that except for the really early levels.
infact the Wii u version of nsmb is the superior one.

I'm exaggerating.
It's the type of secret that you'd discover thinking you'd just fell to your death, in any case.
Is cat mario designed like that because of that god awful pun at the end?
looks fun as fuck

i don't want to have to jump down every death pit in the game looking for secret areas

Maybe ghost Miis only get uploaded if you actually beat the stage, so seeing a ghost jump down there reveals that there's something there.

This is faaaaaar from the first time a Mario game has had a fake death pit. In fact I'd be willing to bet nearly every game in the series has something like this sans SMB1. I can already recall both SMB2 and SMB3 having fake quicksand traps in the middle of stages filled with real ones.

Did anyone else notice that crown in the multiplayer segments? It seems there's a crown that you can beat off of other players to take possession of. That's going to cause some real-life bloodbaths. Seems like every multiplayer Nintendo game has some mechanic that turns loved ones against each other.
I haven't played a mario game past Sunshine, but doesn't look too bad!
I don't like the whole "Welp, you suck, here's some level-long invincibility" mechanic though.

Like they said you don't have to use it. It's been in super mario 3d land too and it appears if you die like 5-10 times in a row
I really liked 3D Land, damn near 100%ed it. This looks to be just as good, here's hoping that it is.
That jazzy new theme, fucking love it. Glad that they aren't catering anymore to the SMB3 fans.
I was kinda disappointed that they aren't making a new mario with large non linear stage like 64/sunshine.
But even then I feel like this will be an extremely fun game.
Looks fun but why did the narrator sound like someone they took from the street and said "we'll give you $50 to read these lines"
This game needs more Wario.
This game needs more Wario.
And Waluigi
A 3D game featuring Wario and Waluigi as main characters. I'd buy that shit.

"Wario World 2: Waluigi Boogaloo"
I'd pay literally anything.

Played it at gamescom. They had an NDA for photos and videos, but I can say it was great! :)
the narrator saying "help a brother out" was probably the funniest thing

I don't think anyone could say that phrase any whiter than that if they tried. :v:
the start of the song at 5:13 sounds a lot like 0:23 of this

Looks like a generic mario game.
