Threads In General Discussion

[Octopussy]

Why are the threads in general discussion so random? I mean most of the are made up stories or stories trying to be funny. Then there are those threads where person is looking help for his personal problems: "My girlfriend left me, what should I do?" and "I`m being bullied, what should I do?"

I mean does he actually expect to get real help? If he has read any other topic, he would know what kind of help he is going to get. The tips vary from "kill yourself" to something totally unrelated. Also why are the tips given totally shit, I mean you would think that most of people had common sense in giving good advises ...

A. ) Is there any evidence against the theory of Evolution?
B. ) My friend and his girlfriend have just split up.
C. ) Mom thinks that videogames were made by the "Satan"/Voldemort
D. ) My friend and his charm
E. ) I have just discovered the most useful thing since sliced bread
F. ) What do I do with a blind horse?
G. ) An insane kid that stalks me.
H. ) I'm tired of having random erections

I mean wtf?
