If I remember rightly, the UK versions of these take a certain percentage, that's how they make money. You can get more by going to a bank.

I used one of these things once, I got a decent amount of money.

they take almost 10% here. will not use for any significant amount of money.

Got this at my bank, way better then CoinStar.

The bank is closer to me than any coinstar machine. I guess the advantage to coinstar is that its open 24 hours. Of course, how often are you going to need to cash in your change at 1 AM?

It's annoying to use though. It charges you 10 cents per dollar you put into the machine. It's been a couple years since I've last used it though.

Coinstar machines take a percentage, just use a bank. I know this has been posted before, but it cannot be stressed enough.
