Pre-diabetic with recurring bouts of cellulitis, the 625lb Flemming drank a fifth of vodka mixed with a liter of soda each night. He'd dropped out of college, lost his job and played hours of video games at a time. When he wasn't drinking, he was eating.
'My typical fast-food meal was a double cheeseburger with a large pop and large fries,' Flemming writes in his blog.
'That usually wasn't enough, so I would have chicken nuggets with it as well. I also ate Arby's frequently. Large roast beef sandwich, large curly fries and drink, and a side of mozzarella sticks. I ate fast food every day.'
...
Flemming had grown attached to Eastham, treasuring their daily conversations. He was afraid she'd lose patience with him, and terrified of losing her.'I decided to quit drinking. I quit cold-turkey,' he writes in his blog.
Flemming made the decision on October 13, 2012, and it was the first step in a journey that has seen him transform his life.
Withdrawal symptoms aside, quitting drinking saw Flemming lose 100lbs in a month without changing any other aspect of his life.
The change inspired him to change his diet, a menu drawn mostly from fast-food restaurants and coming in at an incredible 7,000 calories a day.
Now, he eats cereal and Greek yoghurt for breakfast, washed down with a glass of low-sodium vegetable juice. Lunch and dinner are lean protein, vegetables and rice. His weekly treat is a scoop of ice-cream on Fridays.

Fast food + soda + vodka = 400 Pounds added on.
Exercise + Vegetables + Lean Meat = 234 pounds total.
Inspiring.

Holy fuck
That right there takes some dedication, man. Holy shit, he was practically at the bottom...
But what about loose skin?
I've heard if you lose weight properly and keep hydrated it's not really an issue.
But what about loose skin?
First thing I thought of. But yeah, loose skin is always a problem. I'm guessing that, if he lost weight that fast, his skin probably hasn't had time to catch up. Man, let's just say he has no more need for a snuggie until it gets fixed.
if he can lose that much in that period of time, there's no reason that i can't lose 30 pounds in less time.
Doctor hate him!
That's some serious willpower and dedication there, especially since he's still at that weight.
I can't give this man enough props, ever.
Good!! It upsets me when I see "My 600lb Life" on TV and there are people saying "Im going to get surgery and get my life back on track"...no you're taking the lazy road and going to get fat again.
But what about loose skin?
you can see a bit of sagging in parts of his face.
By quitting soda I lost 50 pounds(22.6kg) in the year, being 5'11" I can't really stay below 160 pounds(72.5kg) without some drastic lifestyle change like excising or something.
5"10 exactly and am sitting at 230lb with 29% body fat. i can curl 45lb and bench 130. how fucked am i?
Man loses 400 Pounds

quite fucked, however bench 130 lbs is okayish (unless you're more than 20 years old)

It isn't as easy as most people think it is, in order for most insurance programs to cover it you gotta go through a pretty strict program and lose lots of weight and document everything you eat for about a year.
I've heard if you lose weight properly and keep hydrated it's not really an issue.
nah i lost 60-100lbs over the course of 6-12 months and kept extremely well hydrated (filled up the desire for food with water basically) and still have loose skin, it's just a thing that happens with big weight loss like that. there are possibilities apparently to keep the skin itself hydrated and thus more elastic in nature (via the use of daily lotionings etc) but that is generally more for reducing scar tissue and stretch marks on the way down
He's probably just extended his life by 20 years
And he looks so healthy in the after photo
5"10 exactly and am sitting at 230lb with 29% body fat. i can curl 45lb and bench 130. how fucked am i?
i mean not really. if you're able to curl 45 that means you've got pretty decent strength. you should be able to start lifting pretty easily and just mix that with eating right (strict <2000 calories) and you'll lose weight in no time. just eat lots of turkey and chicken, grilled if at all possible and be wary of high salt items (keeps your water weight high, only real way to counteract high sodium & water weight it is to drink so much water that you piss at least once an hour really)

start doing pullups and watch the weight drop like a lead balloon

my mother got gastric bypass, it's an intensely difficult process that's only given out to individuals who are nigh on death's door and is done as an absolute last resort, and is generally relied on for when people develop severe incurable addictions to food
in the aftermath many people turn their addiction of food towards addiction to alcohol, as most people that get to that point are severely depressed and form a chemical reliance on food to replenish endorphin levels. without that they turn to booze for the same effect, and after the procedure is completed alcohol affects you much much much more severely than it does a normal person
aka it's not a peachy life for people that get the surgery at all
My brother lost ~220 pounds in a year. The reality is that with a lot of dedication and hard work, weight loss isn't an impossibility.

Shaved neckbeard, lost 20 pounds right there.
I've heard if you lose weight properly and keep hydrated it's not really an issue.
It's an issue for any significant weight loss, if you have to lose anything above 50 pounds, it's because you were bordering obesity and your skin is really past what it can stretch to. I've lost 105 pounds and while I don't have a lot of loose skin, it's slightly saggy around the waist and stomach area. For someone losing that much weight, he will have a LOT of loose skin and will likely require surgery.

Note to self, if I ever need to conceal my identity, become fat.
Brand new person.

Wow, I had no idea losing so much weight that fast would also fix his myopia, get him laid, cure his neckbeard and turn his skin into plastic! :v:
