[QUOTE] PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona judge sentenced former waitress Jodi Arias to life in prison with no possibility of parole on Monday for shooting and stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death in 2008.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens said Arias' crime, which attracted national attention, was "especially cruel ... (and) involved substantial planning and preparation."
Arias, 34, had escaped a possible death sentence last month after a lone juror at her sentencing retrial refused to back the death penalty throughout five days of deliberations.

About goddamn time.
Finally
She's still trying to push the whole self defense thing ? Wow.
This crazy bitch got LUCKY, super lucky. If she didn't have a mistrial she would have got the death penalty.
She killed that poor boy in cold blood, it serves her right to be locked away
Oh dang, I knew of the Jodi Arias case, but never really paid any attention to it. Never knew the murder took place in my city
Man, I feel bad for the lone juror that refused the death penalty. She's been doxed by the public and has been humiliated and threatened all because she didn't support the death penalty. Reminds me of that old movie where the one guy holds out and convinces an entire room of jurors to let some kid go.
