Picked up a CB350F for 450 dollars in pretty good condition, gonna make a cafe racer out of it.
Things to do,
Wire the thing
get a battery
clean and sync the carbs
get the engine to fire perfectly
sand the fuel tank some more
paint the thing
paint the frame
get a girlfriend
win some games
pics!

yeah it's gonna take awhile before she's alive.
I'm getting some jungle fever so maybe I'll paint her black with some red stripes.
Everyone knows racing stripes add 5 horsepower to any ride
Take the spare engine and make a go-cart out of it.
MMmmmm, cafe.
spent around 9 hours today rewiring everything. The damn thing wouldnt spark
and the voltage was acting up so I took a voltmeter and literally checked every connection.
Turns out of the condensers was broken so I replaced it. Still wouldn't spark.
Then checking it some more, the breaker distance was too short so I extended it by like a millimeter and the thing had spark in all 4.
Tomorrow will be buying it gas and hopefully starting it for the first time.

I like the foot leg relocation.
Further that I would go on my cm. but I like it.

yeah, the rearset is from a modern gsxr, the triangle piece was fabricated to connect to the rear brakes but would slide inside and back at the same time so the kick starter wouldn't collide with any of the pedals or rests
got her running!

I'm jealous dude, awesome project!
I want a bike so badly
snip, wrong thread
Bought a new battery and am currently build a housing compartment for it.
Started building a seat pan and ordered some leather for the actual seat itself.
I finished designing and putting together a side mounted license plate + brake lights, just need for the brake light switch assembly to come in.
Still need to find an efficient way to mount the mufflers.
Of course still need to paint the thing, pics update tomorrow when the rain stops.
That's beaut.
I'll be glad once I flush out my current stable and finish doing the main mods to my new DR650 so I have room/time/money to get a project bike.
I'm not sure if I'll go more cafe racer or street tracker. It'll probably end up a mix with elements from both and generally what ever I can come up with.
As for you paint job: Matte black and red? :v:
I wanted to do something with black and red yeah. Maybe red stripes on matte black
started sanding the tank down after a layer of bondo

need to find a way to fasten it tighter though
The battery inside the box or the box itself? You can use foam to keep the battery from moving around too much if you need to.

the battery sits pretty tight in there, but yeah I'm planning on using a waterproof fabric to keep it from getting wet and double as cushion for it to not move at all. The battery box is bolted directly underneath the seat, so it wont bulge haha
working on the seat

After 4 hours of intense scrubbing, managed to get rid of all the rust that was on the fender, that sucker is shiny.
