The title explains it all My first one would have to be Taylor swift, I don't know why but all of my friends think her music is stupid My second would be Nickelback, all my friends hate them and it seems the Internet itself hates them (User was banned for this post ("Post Your" - Perfumly))
Groove Armada probably. It's because they can't be arsed to sit and listen to it. I don't think people appreciate Miike Snow as much as i do and my closesd friend so i get disappointed with that too. [editline]01:24AM[/editline] Also op i like Taylor and Nickelback but only in small doses.
Also op i like Taylor and Nickelback but only in small doses.
I can't listen to like 5 or 10 of their songs in a row, 2 maybe, but I can't listen to too much
The Deli-creeps some of Buckethead's work Mr. Bungles-California, other than that not to big on them. Peeping Tom. Serart
Slipknot MGMT Friendly Fires Gorillaz
Metallica - St. Anger Everyone seems to hate this album, but if you look past the shitty snare sound and overall sub-par production quality, it's a really cool album - despite not being the Metallica we know and love. Slipknot - Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. Current Slipknot fans seem to hate this album and people who don't like Slipknot still don't like this album. It's completely different from their current stuff (which I personally don't like), so this album is actually full of some pretty cool ideas and funky grooves which I would've liked to have seen continue. I also have respect for Nickelback because they sound fucking amazing live, just their songwriting is generic and boring to me. They would make an awesome heavy metal band, just listen to this:
The comments (I don't know why I read them) prove my aforementioned point, it seems the whole internet hates nickelback You're right though, they were pretty good in that video I lol'd at your avatar
It is a shitty song but I like it.
Autechre [editline]08:40PM[/editline] (at least IRL)
Autechre [editline]08:40PM[/editline] (at least IRL)
Everyone hates Autechre when their albums come out then after 3 months people listen to the album and like them again.
In Flames's Come Clarity. :colbert:
Everyone hates Autechre when their albums come out then after 3 months people listen to the album and like them again.
*fake is leaked* "OMG WHAT A PILE OF SHIT, AUTECHRE SUCKS" *official album is leaked* "OMG WTF IS THIS SHIT, THIS IS SOOO FAKE"
Dragonforce
Melodeath, specifically Insomnium. It's either, "that's not melodic!!!" or "that's not metal!!!" from metal haters and 'true metalheads' respectively.
... some of Buckethead's work ...
I really don't get why some people dislike Buckethead, I mean listen to the albums Shadows Between the Sky or A Real Diamond In The Rough, he's simply amazing with a guitar :v:
Static-X's last two albums, most fans of the older sound hate them. The Cure's The Top album. Michale Graves era Misfits(even though it's just the Danzig fans that hate Graves).
Melodeath, specifically Insomnium. It's either, "that's not melodic!!!" or "that's not metal!!!" from metal haters and 'true metalheads' respectively.
Most people love Insomnium, despite their latest album not being anywhere near their potential. I know I do.
Yeah, a lot of people do love Insomnium. Melodeath on a whole gets a lot of flak, though, and I don't know why... It's one of the best genres ever devised, in my opinion. :v:
Any Black metal music.
Death From Above 1979 - I like them because I know everything about them. No one else does.
Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah Nobody likes his voice, which I simultaneously do and do not understand.
IRL it's basically everything I listen to. Most of my friends only listen to catchy mainstream music.
blink-182 i'm still a huge fan, but mostly because they inspired me to pick up a guitar and start a band. now im playing local shows all the time :D
I really don't get why some people dislike Buckethead, I mean listen to the albums Shadows Between the Sky or A Real Diamond In The Rough, he's simply amazing with a guitar :v:
Listen to some of his more abstract and less structured stuff, like from his " IN SEARCH OF THE" box set, or Inbred Mountain
Melodeath, specifically Insomnium. It's either, "that's not melodic!!!" or "that's not metal!!!" from metal haters and 'true metalheads' respectively.
I saw Insomnium live, with Swallow The Sun
The Blackout
The Dillinger Escape Plan At least IRL I'm the only one who likes them in my area.
In Flames's Come Clarity. :colbert:
I liked Come Clarity, some great tracks on it - Take This Life is fantastic. It has grown old a little though, maybe I overlistened.
I haven't heard any of these but I will be sure to listen to them
I saw Insomnium live, with Swallow The Sun
I so wanted to go to that gig but they didn't come anywhere near me :( [editline]01:34AM[/editline] I also missed swallow the sun's latest gig because of uni deadlines which is another reason why I want to go to hellfest
