This time, it's about the industry it helped make ubiquitous—fast food. "Fast foods are quick, reasonably priced, and readily available alternatives to home cooking. While convenient and economical for a busy lifestyle, fast foods are typically high in calories, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and salt and may put people at risk for becoming overweight," reads one post on the site, which includes a picture of a hamburger and fries, two items that the fast-food giant specializes in selling. Another post labels a meal with a cheeseburger and fries as the "unhealthy choice" and one with a submarine sandwich and salad as the "healthier choice," noting that it's more of a challenge to eat healthy when visiting a fast-food place. A separate post writes "it is hard to eat a healthy diet when you eat at fast-food restaurants often," adding that large portions make it easy to overeat. The site also advises people to limit how many fries they eat.
Bonus for sharp-eyed readers and people who zoom images: "Get the giggles" :v:
I love how they talk about "healthy" food the same way the would advertise the shit they serve.
"Laughter boosts your blood flow and helps to ward off cardiovascular disease." And, so does exercise.
Fuck, I kind of meant to post this in SH instead. Wrong tab. :v: Oh well, I guess it's suitable for GD? If not, report it, and mods please kindly move it, I'm sorry for missing. Edited: Thank you, Craptasket.
Looks like they outsource the resource information from a different company. Obviously, that company didn't really feel necessary to adjust the information for their client's needs. :v:
Maybe it's like how tobacco products come with warnings?
Maybe it's like how tobacco products come with warnings?
Warning: may contain saturated fats. I can see it now. The same asinine shit that has to put a warning label on a box of peanuts that reads 'caution: may contain peanuts' when that's all there is in said box. Sometimes, I get really confused at the requirements of legalese.

They don't stop to make exceptions for products that are primarily nuts, its easier to just make sure they are all blanket covered.
