I've been looking into a website called Put.io (http://put.io) and i was wondering what you other facepunchers thought about it and is it worth to to sign up?
So wait this downloads a file that you give it (From a link) and plays it for you?
I wouldn't pay for that kind of thing.
Agree, I wouldn't pay for this kind of thing. Very interesting none the less.
I'm still confused on what it actually does. :S
It takes a file and plays it to a device that you choose and have uploaded.
Not really something worth paying for, but interesting nonetheless.
Yeah, it basically downloads the file to it's own servers (torrent or direct link or rapidshare and a few others) which you can then stream or download to your own computer.
uuh... and you pay for this?
They have some videos of the service here:

Reminds me of Wuala.
What happened to external media? Like external HDDs, Flash Drives, Micro SD cards.
Its so you can use other devices to stream the content maybe your iPod touch. At least I think it is.

Maybe I am getting this wrong, but if you can upload *.torrent files, and their servers would then download the file(s)... Would that not be like a work from getting letters from your ISP for illegal downloads?
Because after their servers have the media, you would stream it from put.io and everything would be legit...

Does Wuala stream your files? I used it for a while but went to Dropbox.
Pay?
