OSCAR Aguilar was a man who loved to impress with his selfies, but when he decided to pose with a handgun it resulted in his death.
Aguilar, 21, a veterinarian from Mexico City has a Facebook page stocked with photos of him posing with luxury cars and beautiful women. He had a desire to take the ‘coolest’ selfies possible and his last idea saw him borrowing a gun and aiming it at his head. It would be his last.
Local police said Aguilar was unaware the gun was loaded and was ‘waving’ it around when it accidentally went off, wounding him.
Well he succeeded in taking himself shot.
Truly the 'coolest' way to go!
Kinda feel bad for laughing. Still though, how do you even manage this. What a twit.

It's his own damn fault for doing something so stupid, but it was purely bad fortune that led to him dying.
Amazing
It's disturbing how many people act like guns are goddamn toys. Even if it was unloaded he should never be waving it around or pointing it at another person or himself.
and now you know why the term man-child came into existence
I'm still surprised how people manage to accidentally pull triggers, the handguns I've handled all seemed to require some good squeeze

If he was careless enough to keep it loaded, he probably had shitty trigger discipline to begin with.
I'm still surprised how people manage to accidentally pull triggers, the handguns I've handled all seemed to require some good squeeze
It usually tends to happen if they put their finger on the trigger while waving it about.
Man, I feel sorry for the guy's family. And the guy too, obviously.
#1 rule of firearm safety: guns are always loaded, even when they aren't
The article really made it seem like he was looking for the shot to end all shots. Well, he did it.
I'm still surprised how people manage to accidentally pull triggers, the handguns I've handled all seemed to require some good squeeze
I mean you can get very light triggers for guns, but its still very much a deliberate "I'm putting my finger on the trigger and squeezing" motion that you have to preform.
I'm always baffled by this, there have been so many of these stories, wouldn't the first thing in most people's mind, whether they have handled a gun or not, be: "I remember all those stories of people shooting themselves, I'd better see if this thing is loaded."
Why would you even load it or take off the safety if it's just for show
21 year old vet? highly doubt it, there's like 8 years of college for that
At least he got a good shot.
21 year old vet? highly doubt it, there's like 8 years of college for that
He might've been still in school, or volunteered or something.
i feel stupid, it's way easier to be a vet in mexico, my vet student GF goes to mexico to do surgery on animals. for some reason i read mexico city and thought it was in the US
"Accidentally went off".
So basically the fucktard had his finger on the trigger, didn't check if the safety was on or if the gun was even loaded.
He had it coming from a mile away.

In Mexico all it takes is saying you're a vet.

but guns are toys you can just walk into a shop and buy them just to shoot at shit

And always have your finger on the triggerguard.
Anyway it would have been a really dumb and edgy selfie if he didn't shoot himself.

I am not sure, but what I am sure of, is that he is now 6 feet under
Gun safety doesn't seem to click with alot of people, condolences to the family but its just flat out idiotic to loose respect for a weapon.

First rule of firearms safety, and this is stressed by the NRA and numerous groups constantly is to treat every gun as if it is loaded... ironically this is the first rule that gets broken. To say it simple, keep the booger flicker off the bang switch and don't aim it at anything you don't wanna shoot. This is why when people hold my guns, I usually do everything possible to make sure they know it isn't loaded, while stressing to keep the fingers off the trigger.
Goddammit, this is why you don't play with guns.
Period.
So what's the Selfie Death Count at now?

Especially when they aren't.
