You don't spread Vegemite that thickly, also you need butter.

They were spreading it way too thick. It's only supposed to a thin layer of the stuff. The layer of butter is up to personal preference though. Fukin' ninjad.

It isn't something you eat out of a jar (unless you hate yourself), have a spoonful of, spread very thickly on a piece of bread, or thick at all. It's something that the person eating it needs to tinker with, how much they put on, if they use Butter, Margarine or none. Vegemite is like sauce, sugar, or salt and pepper, if you want you can call it a complement to what you're putting it on. Put too much on/in and it's ruined, it tastes disgusting by itself. It isn't the main ingredient like Nutella or Peanut Butter. You can have those by themselves and as much as you want. Vegemite and Marmite are essentially the exact same thing since they are both made from yeast extract.
