Police captain confirms children 'possessed by demons'
A US police captain says he believed a story about a woman who claimed her children were possessed by demons.
Latoya Ammons, from Indiana, said her three children walked up walls, levitated and spoke in voices.
Official reports filed in 2012 backed up her claims, with psychologists stating that they saw the nine-year-old child speak in "different deep voices" and walk "up the wall backwards".
"He flipped over and landed on his feet," they added.
Gary Police Captain Charles Austin, who has more than 35 years of experience, said he had been convinced by the story.
According to a local newspaper, the Indianapolis Star, he described himself as a "believer" after visiting the house and interviewing Ms Ammons and her family.
I think the stress has got to him, either that or a urgent need for cash.
(People involved with these kinda stories tend to get alot of cash from various people.)
And i thought i have experienced weird shit but this is way above my level of daily strange shit.
"Medical staff reported they observed the children and heard the seven-year-old making growling noises and his eyes rolled into the back of his head.
"They observed [name blank] lifted and thrown into the wall with nobody touching him."
The report also detailed the time when the seven-year-old "walked up the wall" in front of a number of medical professionals.
And? Proves nothing, unless you have any proof that the media and everyone else overlooked?

TLDR; the mother was crazy and encouraging the kids to act out in this manner and social services took them away at which point they stopped.

I don't know how the medical staff imagined that, that many people that tag along on one possible "hoax" for money i don't think that. If that's true then the police department and the medical staff at the hospital and the family is playing everyone.

Yeah, cause their mother had an anti-gravity generator in her womb.

Maybe its the magical force known as the tabloid media
Hell this news was posted yesterday and the MSN link clearly stated "However, psychiatrists who interviewed Ammons' children determined that she had induced her children into delusional behaviour, though neither Ammons nor the children were deemed to be psychotic."
Sounds like a hoax to me.
Obvious hoax. I'm not buying any of it.

Not that I care, I'm just genuinely surprised the first post wasn't complaining about it.
Considering it's popularly believed in Korea that fans can kill people, I'm not surprised at all people are buying into this (they are probably believing this sincerely, except for maybe the mother)

I asked a Korean guy about that once.
He had the most deadpan face I've ever seen, looked me straight in the eyes and firmly said
"Fan death is real"
And then walked away.

Do you actually believe in demonic possession?
Oh right it says it in the Bible so it must be true.

I don't discount it as a logical possibility, but at the same time It would take a lot of circumstances for me to believe in a particular case. This one, for example, I am agnostic about and frankly am leaning towards hoax. You however might not be agnostic, and simply assert hoax.

Don't worry Dean Winchester has taken care of the demonic children
It's just like Amityville horror all over...Latoya Ammons will now be taking checks and money orders.

I had a Korean roommate once who insisted I turn off my fan when I left my desk or went to bed, otherwise he would yell at me until I did so. When I asked what his problem was, he just scoffed, and for the past 7 or 8 years it always bugged me. Then I heard about "fan death"... explained a lot.
He was a dick anyway, kept hosting all-Korean parties in my room until 4 am every night.
This whole story sounds like some kind of viral campaign for a creepy movie.
