It basically looks like their normal videos, except with a bigger budget, and more scripted. This is really good news.
Anyone else think this looks pretty pointless and terrible so far? Especially right after the absolutely fantastic video about the different TV screens, this seems like one big retread of their more boring videos, done with a bigger budget and a worse script.
What's with all the negativity here? I don't mind rewatching old things if it means better camera angles and resolution What's so wrong with higher production quality?

The first 2 weren't spectacular, but I don't expect the big stuff on episode 1. We'll get plenty of explosions and stuff that's better than them running or falling off a crate hopefully.
It's a little stressful wondering which take will be the one that Dan breaks his arm
It's a little stressful wondering which take will be the one that Dan breaks his arm
Oh is this show where he broke it? I haven't heard the story behind how it broke.

I really liked the TV episode because it was so calm and scaled back and interesting. Not over-budgeted, not overreacted. Considering the hugely positive reaction to that episode, I don't think I'm alone in this. However, from this trailer, it seems like they've moved in the exact opposite direction. Of course this was all filmed before the release of the TV episode, so they obviously wouldn't have had the feedback from that on the time. I just hope they do more calm and informative less "WOOOOAH" "OH MY GOD" "WAHEY" stuff in the future.

All I can think of while watching that is all the times Bill Burr shouted "I'm gonna put you through that fuckin' wall!" in F is for Family.

Part of me really wanted Dan not to press that button as he was running towards the glass, but he did and we got to see the result if he didn't anyway :v:
I just want to know why Gavin's microphone in the intros cuts low and high freqs while Dan's is perfect
In this one, they actually show a CRT drawing each line: Not related to the new show, but it's fucking cool.
Yeah I posted it in it's own thread when it came out.

That part where the magnet just shattered would've been great in the actual episode. It would've been cool if they elaborated why it happened, though. I'd assume that the magnets might have not been properly aligned at the same angle as they were pushed, because it's strange to think that the apple core would be too solid to be crushed. Especially after seeing the process of removing the magnets, and how they were still attracted to one another between a block of wood.
One just tipped over early and that angle of impact was enough to shatter it. Neodymium is a pretty hard material that's much more likely to shatter than deform.
I actually lol'd at "magnetism... obviously very important... around the universe" - gav

Always thought this channel would be better if they actually explained the science and physics behind the stuff that they are showing. They're wearing lab coats and have hundred thousand dollar cameras so why not do some research and help people learn something new and useful?

That "dead inside" look at 1 minute 6 seconds holy shit

I feel like with this show format, they could potentially have the best of both worlds since the episodes are already broken apart into 4 parts. Part 1 could be the set-up, introducing what's going to happen in the episode, and a few stunts/experiments and gags in slow motion. Part 2 would be all experiments and slow-motion, more gags and the "wow" reactions. Part 3 could be an interview with their guests/crews, and in depth analysis of what's happening. Part 4 could be the big finale, with the most intense experiment that they could set up for the episode's theme.

There's a few different clips from this video that was uploaded to Kevin Durant's channel in August.
