Almost 700 cannabis plants worth more than $1.3 million have been seized during Sydney raids. Police raided properties in west suburban Parramatta, Greenacre and Bankstown throughout Wednesday. Officers will allege that 21 seedlings, 695 plants, five kilograms of dried cannabis, indoor cultivation equipment and cash were found. A 40-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman have been charged with enhanced cultivation of cannabis.
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2013/07/04/11/40/sydney-raids-uncover-700-cannabis-plants
they could be making the 1.3 million in profit if they legalised it, police money wouldn't be wasted on pointless raids like this, too.
This story reminds me, I need to buy some weed
they could be making the 1.3 million in profit if they legalised it, police money wouldn't be wasted on pointless raids like this, too.
Pff, who wants profit when we can have something to shout at?
Noooooooooooooooo
Dude, it's Parramatta and Bankstown. You could raid any house in those suburbs and recover any number of cannabis plants.
Such a waste of police resources and good plants.
good, that means there'll be less violent potheads prowling the streets looking for their next hit
good, that means there'll be less violent potheads prowling the streets looking for their next hit
Leaving their marijuana needles all over the streets..
VICTORY
Australian Police don't have a war on drugs, they only act if there's a lead
it's their job to have a war on drugs, this is the most ignorant thing i've heard all day
and thousands of lives were saved.
thank god all the lives they are saving because people who were going to use those plants are gonna turn to the much safer and healthier alternative of alcohol!
yyyyyyeah I already know what this thread is going to turn into.
it's their job to have a war on drugs, this is the most ignorant thing i've heard all day
Not like American cops that literally prowl around every corner You can have a bit of cannabis and walk away scott free in NSW anyway
okay lets put it this way. polce = good lawmakers = dumb
i always wonder if the police keep some for themselves after a raid
It's funny that in my State, with the right permits and taking the right botany classes. You can grow 700 plants legally.
i always wonder if the police keep some for themselves after a raid
they no doubt do so over here. police here have been shit to me in the past. fortunately now that pot laws are getting laxer here i haven't had any more run-ins with these asshole cops from my friend's neighborhood.
Australian Police don't have a war on drugs, they only act if there's a lead
There is a war on organised crime though. If it's linked to that they will actively seek leads
There is a war on organised crime though. If it's linked to that they will actively seek leads
Self-fulfilling prophesy. "Weed is illegal because it's immoral and criminal. Oh look, now there's criminals trying to sell the stuff because it's illegal."
thank you australian police for making the world a better place
I bet most police officers know the war on plants is pointless and dumb but that doesn't mean they can't do their jobs.
It honestly blows my mind that pot isn't legal here yet. It's one of those crimes on the same level as jaywalking at 3 in the morning with nobody driving down the street. Yes, you're still breaking the law, but who is it hurting?
All victimless crime should be legal and regulated.
