I've been working on this for a while now, and I'm just spreading it around to as many people as I can, hoping they enjoy! It's a music video, and I know that usually makes people groan immediately haha, but it's good I think! Not to toot my own horn or anything. It's just, ...y'know, it's definitely not just a mashup of official trailers.
It's set to Assassin's Creed and is based on an idea I always thought Ubi would do, but they never did, and I wanted to see it so bad that I just worked to make it a reality. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
Holy fucking shit, that was amazing
nice editing! Did you get all the footage yourself? if so then the scenes are synced perfectly in places where ezio turns to altair and stuff.
This is godlike.
Thanks! Yeah, it's all stuff I recorded. I wanted to make my own thing. It wasn't easy aligning camera angles for that effect, especially in the separate games, but I think it looks really cool.
3:39 for example. How did you do that?!
I've been getting asked the same questions a lot, so excuse me for pasting this, but it explains a bit of the silly tricks I employed:
Vegas Video for editing and Fraps for recording. I used a program called CheatEngine to run the game in suuuper slow-motion to record shots at a high FPS so I could have smooth looking shots. That was actually the most fun part about making this since I love AC's animations so much and being able to see every little meticulous detail in all of them was great. This of course took a while, playing in slow-motion doesn't help speed things up haha
For movement scenes and camera alignment it was trial and error mostly. To make it easier on myself I'd use the center camera button and move only in the angles allowed on the keyboard controls since those are fixed unlike the analog sticks on a controller. The times when I couldn't do that I took a screenshot of the location with one Assassin and then ran back to it with the other and basically eyeballed it until I got it right. I remember using a twig on a wall haha, counting the amount of bricks it was down and trying to position the camera just right.
For combat scenes, the counter kills have only about 5 or 6 different angles that it can be shown in so if I play long enough and kill enough I eventually get the same angles.
The part in bold is for one of the times how I did that 3:39 part, you can see the vines on the wall I mentioned lol
Wait, slow up, so did they reuse some of their buildings or something?! What the hell is going on?!
Oh my god :gizz:
Thats is....wow...amazing
Makes you realize how amazing Assassin's creed's animations are.
If I was Ubisoft, I would make it official. Beautiful work!

You can wear Altair's outfit in AC2.
It's not Altair's outfit though. The altair armour in AC2 is black, and looks different.
no that's the armour of altair, not his outfit.
I don't really know much about the Assassins Creed series, but I was a bit disappointed at 3:50 when Ezio found the assassin outfit. I think it should have been at the start of the video, and it kind of ruined the whole video for me, since it made it look like you just put a bunch of random clips together. It would be a lot cooler if you made a "story" out of it instead, if you know what I mean.
Damn, that fucking rocked!
Incredible stuff.
Very very well done, how long did that take?
That was p cool.
about 3 months I'd say... I'm happy with how it turned out and all, but it's one of those things where it's like, "that took way too long" is all I can really say about it.
Well, that was pretty fucking amazing.
I'm a huge assassin's creed fan and i've got to say this is amazing.
Thanks for puting all that effort into making this, it's really good.
Hope you make more in the future.
That was very well done, especially for a fan-made video.
That shits pretty damn amazing.
The song fits so awesomely well.
That was fucking amazing!
That right there was fucking amazing, you should be hired for some professional company, it sure as hell looked professional.
You should send this to Ubisoft. I bet you'll receive some sort of acknowledgement or praise for it!
That is amazing, well done OP.
Awesome job
The camera pans and time changes were really well done!
This is like 10 times better than any AC trailer I've seen.
Email it to ubisoft before I do it for you!
