The Twitter user, claimed to have proof that the officer named in the Ottawa.ca hacking “[B]manufactured evidence[/B]” in the case.
The accused youth’s father told reporters on Sunday that the hackers had given him “[B]the evidence I need to clear my son’s name.[/B]” He did not provide further details.[/QUOTE]

I kinda feel bad for the father.

A mistrial is typically a good thing for a defendant though. Most trials that go on to a second or third retrial end favorably for their defendant, partly because the admissible evidence has been narrowed down and the defense has been more able to prepare.
(Assuming your their is aimed at the hackers. If it's at the department, then yes. Shitstorm and stupid. Shitstupidstorm.)

I am about 90% sure that the "evidence" is a screenshot from /b/.
They have no real motivation to fabricate evidence against the kid. Its not like its a seriously high profile case like the OJ case or anything. Its a nameless idiot teenager most people had already forgotten about.
