Reporters from China Central Television (CCTV) tested ice from Beijing locations of fast-food outlets including KFC, McDonald's and the Chinese chain Kungfu. KFC's were the worst, with 900 colony-forming units of bacteria per millileter, which is well above the national limit of 100 CFU. McDonald's ice fared better but still ran afoul of the national limit, at 120 CFU, while Kungfu's bacteria levels were six times higher than toilet water.
I really didn't wanted to know that.
Europe for nº1 place to get fast food.
:vomit:
How do you fuck up so bad that your ice water is worse then the thing you put your shit in.
I never ask for ice in my soda anyways, they just fill half the cup with it so you get less.
How do you fuck up so bad that your ice water is worse then the thing you put your shit in.
fyi sinks are the same way toilets are fairly often cleaned with antibacterial cleaners while sinks and boxes of ice are less so
I doubt china has the same health standards as North America
They should just leave the fast food to the Americans
Thank god it's only China. Now I can continue to eat KFC with reckless abandon.
If that's just the ice cubes in China KFC's, I can't imagine how bad everything else is. Did they mess up the biscuits too?
I have no need to worry about this, the KFC in my town already got shut down for health issues
Toilets are bleached daily. Ice machines are not. This isn't exactly a new concept. [editline].[/editline] The toilet is probably one of the cleanest things in your flat/house.
How do you fuck up so bad that your ice water is worse then the thing you put your shit in.
It's china, relax.
i wouldn't be surprised. i mean have you seen those soda machines?
According to this, average toilet water has 70 CFU/ml, where the national limit is 100 CFU/ml Saying something is dirtier than toilet water is kind of meaningless if you strip out the connotation of 'toilet water' [editline]asd[/editline] but I guess saying "ice cube bacteria 9x the legal limit" doesn't get as many views
I don't really know how fast food restaurants handle their ice.
After all this, I'm not sure I want to know either. I imagine a hose running into the sewers, pumping up free water to save them a few cents. :tinfoil:
id eat their chicken skin even if it was smeared in shit lov it
I prefer Popeye's anyway.
Thank god I never go to KFC because I think that deep frying chicken+meat is about the worst you can do it.

Our ice bin is fucking horrifying

I imagine a hose running into the sewers, pumping up free water to save them a few cents. :tinfoil:
I'm going to guess fast-food chains gotta have a similar procedure when handling ice and stuff. Maybe they don't clean the containers as often as they should be cleaned. China isn't really known to be the cleanest place, so it may explain the larger number of bacteria.
If that's just the ice cubes in China KFC's, I can't imagine how bad everything else is. Did they mess up the biscuits too?
Since when are biscuits sold at KFC? What are they, custard creams?
mmhm
Not exactly the establishment's fault, unless they brought the horse in. You can't even bring a cat or a dog to most McD's here
Since when are biscuits sold at KFC? What are they, custard creams?
KFC's biscuits are probably the most delicious thing they sell, although that's not saying much.
Simply put: ice bins just don't get cleaned. It's a huge pain in the ass to take out all the ice and wait for it to fill up again. Health inspectors also don't really check.
Since when are biscuits sold at KFC? What are they, custard creams?
You're British, we get it. [editline]bananas[/editline] It's a joke about biscuits being cookies or whatever over there, people. He literally said it in the post asking if they were custard creams. [editline]bananas2[/editline] Unless you earnestly don't know what an Amarican biscuit is, in which case it's this
