Regret buying a vita almost everyday over the 3DS
Trade it in for a 3ds/2ds, you can get em used at gamestop for about $140 (you'll have to supply like a bit more depending on how many games you also trade in) [editline]5th November 2014[/editline]
wow they re-released a 15 year old game now with PS2-level graphics instead of N64 graphics get hype get hype nintendomination amirite
"i can't let people relive their childhoods on a new console that they can carry around and play on the go, that'd be way too fun" the point of the remake goes farther than the graphics
wow they re-released a 15 year old game now with PS2-level graphics instead of N64 graphics get hype get hype nintendomination amirite
ocarina 3d had gameplay changes that made water temple easier, broke game-breaking bugs, etc. same thing for majora probably.
I wonder if we'll get any neat new masks.
I wonder if we'll get any neat new masks.
It's essentially an HD edition, I don't see why they'd add extra content in besides fixes. I'm psyched if they do or don't. Just a little sad to see all those Zelda 64 enhancement mods go to waste though
Regret buying a vita almost everyday over the 3DS
Me and my friend argued back in Junior year of high school which new gen handheld was better, and he kept on saying how amazing and well done the Vita is and how as of that time it has a better game library. I message him on a regular basis about how he likes his Vita while talking about how good x new game is on the 3ds is.
It was pretty hype to watch this on the Direct today. Sadly the rest of the Direct was disappointing.
Regret buying a vita almost everyday over the 3DS
It's great the 3DS is getting these "HD" remasters and all for the new generation but I prefer my system with original games, rather than being on life support that depends on remakes. I'm being boxed in but you can't deny that the 3DS is full of the same stuff Nintendo has been spewing out for years where as the Vita actually has new IP's.
yes but people are acting like taking an old nintendo 64 game and rereleasing on the 3ds is some incredible feat meanwhile there's tons of awesome PS2 games being released remastered in HD on the PS3, and it's often the full series and not even fully priced half the time (the old MGS bundle before the big ultimate collection that included MGS4 was $30) meanwhile a single zelda game, wind waker, gets an HD bump with slightly better lighting, gets sharted out for $60 and people flurd their turds over it
I'm not sure if you're legitimately believing this or just trying to piss people off. Most HD remasters are basically literally that; the game in HD. Maybe performance improvements but not always (and often times worse performance than the original). The games themselves usually get little to no changes, and they're literally just re-released in HD for the sake of it. Wind Waker HD actually added new gameplay elements overhauled certain things like the Triforce Quest as well as the speed sail making travel a bit faster and less tedious, and was more than simply just an HD re-release. Granted, I got it for free with Mario Kart 8's release deal, but it isn't just the exact same game as it was before. Ocarina of Time 3D actually replaced and enhanced the graphics as well as improved the framerate and performance, did a number of gameplay tweaks that make it far less clunky and antiquated (for the most part), fixed the Water Temple through the gameplay tweaks and one set of cosmetic additions inside said dungeon that reduced it from 'worst Zelda dungeon ever' to being onpar with the other dungeons in the game. Sure they didn't actually completely remake or change the game, but they took a classic, polished and improved it, and didn't shit all over it. And i'd rather have a quality improvement like that then simply playing the same games over in HD. In your example of the MGS Collection, certain things like the Secret Theater in MGS3: Subsistence were even completely removed with no replacement. I still do want to find the MGS HD Collection for my PS3 sooner or later, but only because my PS2 is basically a giant dustmite.

There is no reason for you to be upset, except for the sake of being upset. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline] you could just dick off and leave us to our fun, though
As some who has never had a Nintendo console on which to play these games, the fuck did I just watch?
yes but people are acting like taking an old nintendo 64 game and rereleasing on the 3ds is some incredible feat meanwhile there's tons of awesome PS2 games being released remastered in HD on the PS3, and it's often the full series and not even fully priced half the time (the old MGS bundle before the big ultimate collection that included MGS4 was $30) meanwhile a single zelda game, wind waker, gets an HD bump with slightly better lighting, gets sharted out for $60 and people flurd their turds over it
"People are getting excited over the WRONG classic games!"
They somehow managed to make the moon even more terrifying
As some who has never had a Nintendo console on which to play these games, the fuck did I just watch?
the darkest, most unsettling game in the entire series
As some who has never had a Nintendo console on which to play these games, the fuck did I just watch?
"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"
That's pretty sexy to hear the game coming to 3ds. :)
They somehow managed to make the moon even more terrifying
Well imo he's not just terrifying, he's more badass.
doesn't seem like they are remastering the soundtrack, that's actually very disappointing.
It's most likely because of the "THEY CHANGED SOMETHING, THEY RUINED IT!" people.
Welp, time to buy a 3DS.
You can't be serious. The games catalogue for the 3DS has been massive by a long time now.
I may need to buy a 3Ds in the near future.....
Wind Waker HD wasn't fully priced either IIRC it was $50.

MM seriously needed this, honestly I think MM was rushed and/or lazy in a fuck load of areas, especially the well in Ikana canyon , its actually fucking atrocious how badly made that entire section is. Im speaking visually mostly, I think they must have just ran out of time on the level building since so much went into the questing/mask/time/story creation that the level design suffered. Its quality in the dungeons/overworld is much, much lower than OoT is. Yet at the same time its story, theme, narrative, and characters completely blow OoT out of the water. So glad its getting an upgraded version though that will more or less solve the issues I have with the original MM.
The US version of the trailer is in 60fps if anyone cares:
http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/majoras-mask-3d-has-been-in-development-for-years-new-features-to-be-announ#.VF4_YfmUe20 Oh shit yes. If it has taken 3 years then I wonder what new stuff is added, and apparently they didn't remove anything like in OOT 3D. And it is understandable that it took 3 years, he probably wanted to add more stuff to his first zelda game but couldn't due to the 12 month limit.
