Something a little out of the ordinary, as ordinary as crumbling schools, factories, and homes get.
I believe the group that we run into on the property was there to steal scrap metal. They loaded some kind of refrigerator looking thing into the back of their truck, and quickly got the hell out of there once they saw us.
Many of the rides were auctioned off in 2006, but a fair amount of attractions remain at the park. It's hard to say if the new owner has sold a few of the small homes on the property, two or three of them did not appear to be abandoned. The grass was fairly recently cut, and flea markets are held on the property from time to time which must discourage people from coming and trashing the place.
That puppet at 06:20 got me good, really good.
But wow, that place would have looked really eerie during night-time.
Meh, damn scrappers. I understand that you guys generally get thrown in the pot with them.
where in PA?
I instantly thought of Left 4 dead 2: Dark Carnival. Though this park is like build into a forest.
And god damn that puppet :O
Where in PA is this? Anywhere near the Philadelphia area?
2 hours from philly.
Wish there was some awesome stuff to explore near me in England, North Yorkshire.
Really cool videos. Abandoned areas/building are very interesting to check out.
Here's another abandoned amusement park in PA. This one opened in 1902 and still has one of (if not the) oldest funhouses in America among other rides from the 1920s-30s. It got hit by 3 really bad hurricanes in the last 10 years and hasn't been able to reopen since 2006.
