U.S. Rep. John Kline and former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman have joined others criticizing fellow Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann's comments about Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "I don't think any of us doubt that Mrs. Bachmann is concerned about national security and she was reaching out to do something about that. I think she stepped a bit over the line when she went after individuals by name," Kline said when asked about Bachmann during a RNC conference call on the economy on Friday, July 27. "We need to be focusing on jobs and the economy and the things that Norm and I have been talking about and the things that Gov. Romney has been talking about and get this economy turned around and get Americans back to work," he went on to say. Kline, who represents Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District, was joined on the conference call by Coleman, who reiterated Kline's sentiments. Bachmann and four other Republican congressmen asked federal investigators to look into whether State Department officials were trying to influence foreign policy to help Islamic causes. Bachmann and the other four GOP congressmen specifically claimed that Abedin has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Bachmann also linked fellow U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, a Democrat from Minneapolis who represents the state's 5th Congressional District, to the group. Bachmann did get some support Friday from one fellow Republican. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia defended Bachmann to CBS host Charlie Rose. "I think that if you read some of the reports that have covered the story, I think that her concern was about the security of the country. So it's about all I know," Cantor told CBS's "This Morning." -- Megan Boldt
No words. Think, America. Think. This woman was a serious candidate for President of the United States.
Think, America. Think. This woman was a serious candidate for President of the United States.
A candidate, yes, but I don't think ever a serious one. Though that alone still terrifies me.
This would turn out to be the next Red Scare, but thankfully, the majority of the population of America doesn't think that Muslim = bad. [editline]29th July 2012[/editline] Also, can you link a source? I want to share it.
She must think that her career is nearing an end so she needs to get some more publicity.

Oh, forgot the source, here it is right here

mccain's callout speech should have been more than enough to discourage them from doing this banal and pointless shit
When she dies, the worlds average IQ will jump twenty points.
Think, America. Think. This woman was a serious candidate for President of the United States.
Why do you think we tried to send her to Switzerland?
We need more republicans like McCain, and less like this crazy bitch. It's these bigoted fundamentalist republicans that make us look bad and unprofessional.
Hey there McCarthy, what's it like in Bigot City
McCarthyism 2.0
The Brown Scare
Keep it up. I'd love to see her get censured.
"I don't think any of us doubt that Mrs. Bachmann is concerned about national security and she was reaching out to do something about that. I think she stepped a bit over the line when she went after individuals by name,"
Hey everythings almost fine guys, she can say what she likes and be as dumb as she wants, as long as she doesn't name anyone. Nah it's cool just continue to harbor irrational fears and dislike for a person based on hearsay, rumours and your own personal prejudices, I mean it's not like she's a politician or anything you know.
McCarthyism 2.0
I bet she worships him anyway
The Brown Scare
I said this when this "blame the muslims" shit started and got showered in dumbs :\
Think, America. Think. This woman was a serious candidate for President of the United States.
You're kidding right? Everyone thinks she is crazy

Can we just launch her into the sun already? She is a disgrace to the human race.
obviously not if she actually had supporters
Yet she didn't. Her race in '08 was over before it started.
Why do you think we tried to send her to Switzerland?
You gave us quite the scare there.
Can we just launch her into the sun already? She is a disgrace to the human race. Yet she didn't. Her race in '08 was over before it started.
I wasn't even aware she ran in '08
