Study: White and black children biased toward lighter skin
A white child looks at a picture of a black child and says she's bad because she's black. A black child says a white child is ugly because he's white. A white child says a black child is dumb because she has dark skin.
This isn't a schoolyard fight that takes a racial turn, not a vestige of the "Jim Crow" South; these are American schoolchildren in 2010.
Nearly 60 years after American schools were desegregated by the landmark Brown v. Board of Education ruling, and more than a year after the election of the country's first black president, white children have an overwhelming white bias, and black children also have a bias toward white, according to a new study commissioned by CNN.
Renowned child psychologist and University of Chicago professor Margaret Beale Spencer, a leading researcher in the field of child development, led the study. She designed the pilot study and led a team of three psychologists: two testers to execute the study and a statistician to help analyze the results.
Her team tested 133 children from schools that met very specific economic and demographic requirements. In total, eight schools participated: four in the greater New York City area and four in Georgia.
Huh, I'm actually writing an essay for English on this sort of thing.
That was due like Tuesday, bro. :V
This isn't true to where I live, my best friend's black and we've been friends for over 10 years.
I look at an orange person and think: Slut.

Fair enough really. To expect anybody to be racially inpartial to who is attractive and who isn't is pretty stupid.
I don't find the majority of black women attractive, this isn't racism, it's just fact. I, nor can anyone else with attraction which differs by race change what they like, any more than a gay person can start finding members of the opposite sex attractive.
Also, seems reasonable that kids would have these predjudices. It's what humans do, and partly why we are the earths dominant species.
Well no shit, these are little kids who don't even understand racism. If they grow up in a family where all people look a certain way, and then suddenly see someone who looks totally different, of course they are going to be biased against them.

If they live in an area where the majority is white, I can kind of understand.

Hey, at least I'm doing it :saddowns:
Most people aren't attracted to different races.

coz black ppl suck lol
heh jk dont ban me th babe
In a serious manner:
Maybe it's because they're growing up in primarily white areas so they are still more used to seeing whites all over than blacks
They're kids. They'll say anything to piss off other kids.

I like latinos the most, asians second, and then white people.
honestly i've never felt attracted to a black girl for some reason.
I hate astonishingly white kids who call each other "white" as an insult.
I can say that I'm not really attracted to darker skinned people. The Asian look isn't that bad, but I'd prefer someone of a close skin tone to me.
I'm scared to even go near a Aborigine. But they do end up saying hello anyhow, they are properly some nice people. Just the ones who sniff paint and drunk is the ones I move away.
Most people aren't attracted to different races.
I'm white and I think Latin women are beautiful, on Par with white women. Some Asians look alright, and although most black people i've met were very friendly(where I live we have the kind that sit on their porch and do a blues jam after church) I just can't get attracted to black women.
When the little girl pointed at her hand and said the brown colour looked nasty and she didn't know why it made me depressed. :smith: America.

Well I grew up in a white community as an Asian and always wondered "Why can't I be white?"

So Wonka must be a pimp, cause he's surrounded by sluts.

That would explain the purple suit and the top hat.
Every race likes me and vice versa, knew them for eight years.
me be black

I call my friends white when theyre being too white
Of course a kid thinks brown is nasty, brown is the color of mud and shit, and white's pretty much the "clean" color. They're basing their entire skin color choice on weird uniformed cosmetics. By the time they're racially aware they'll look back and laugh about it.
I think alot of people just naturally are drawn toward people of their own race.
Everyone will always be prejudiced on some sort of a degree, whether you notice it or not.

how can you be too white?
And people with blue skin are smurfs?
