If I owned a restaurant I'd hire this guy in a second. Mostly because the positive publicity would outweigh the asshole customers getting shot down but still

he looks like a cool kid

I've worked with kids with Down's Syndrome and had one in my class in 4th grade. While there are massive variances in how functional they are (the one in my class had his father with him all day, every day and had to wear diapers), they're all still people and are cognizant. The ones I worked with in a preschool could speak and were both very sweet. Good on the waiter. He's a good example and a good person.

I got a little sister with Down's. She has trouble speaking clearly but she can function pretty well. She's insanely obsessed with Spongebob though.
