Let's just say that, since we are so very small to god, us trying to think what god is thinking is like an ant trying to see what I'm thinking.
So I studied them. The ants. For days and days, trying to see which ones were the good ones and which ones were the bad ones, the ones I should smite. So when I couldn't figure it out, I just started smiting all of them. I smited them with the hose. I smited them with the lighter. I even went a little crazy with the shovel. So I guess what religion means is that we should live our lives with as much decency as possible, and not worry about the giant man standing above us with a shovel.
