What is this obnoxious toning I can hear? In the past 2 hours alone it has oddly came up more often than usual.
I'm just there minding my own business, having my 13th fap of the day as usual, then all of a sudden, all noise will get quieter and a toning noise in my ear will fill the space that made the other noise quieter. This can last from a few seconds up to a minute or so, and I have no idea what it is.
What the fuck is this noise, and how do I get rid of it? I've told the doctors before, nothing helpful there.
I have this too occasionally, I have no idea what it is though.

Happens to me too sometimes, It's normal I guess.
If I am correct, it is earwax deep withing your canal which is bumping around inside your ears that is causing that ringing noise. See a doctor and ask him to clean them out for you, don't use q-tips, that will just push it in further.
Anything can cause ringing in someones ear.
Maybe it's your testicles screaming
I forgot what it is called but it's caused for me by there being loud noise then suddenly very little noise, it's a normal thing basically.

What with the ear related problems on facepunch lately?
If you're hearing noises that no-one else can hear then you should clean out your ears!

It can be a sign you're damaging your ears, like the above, or just randomly. We talked about it in AP Psych last year.
I'm sorry.... You have cancer
If I'm talking about the same thing, it's a lot like when you get hit with a grenade/rocket in games and the volume goes quiet except for a high pitched ringing...
Except without the volume going really quiet whilst its ringing
are you regularly exposed to high noise levels?
The ringing in your ears means you are losing the ability to hear certain noises otherwise known as going deaf.
It basically means your hearing is being damaged. This can happen with age or can have other causes like wax or infection.
I was going to post a thread like this too.
You know how in games when a grenade goes off right next to you, and everything gets quiet except for that really high pitched ring? I get that about 4 or so times a day, at random.
Anyone know what it is, in all seriousness? I don't have a doctor, or med coverage for such a visit.

I only get it one or two times a month ( rarely ). I think there is something wrong with you.

My ears are clean. Q-tips after every shower. Now that I think of it, I think mine ring because of my Car Audio Set-up. I have 4 Subs and 12 speakers o.0

I know someone already said it, but this is like the third time I've had to link this on FP since I see this thread recur.

If I ever go deaf, I will indeed kill myself. I love the sound of the piano, and I've always wanted to learn it. There's just something about it that makes me calm.

Ear ringing is a rare but serious condition. Symptoms include: Ringing in the ears, and ears ringing. But thankfully there is a cure.
-snip-
Ever listen to music really loudly?
Then that's probably the reason.
I think it's the ear wax being displaced which causes pressure change which changes the sound pitch temporarily.

I have this but instead of just when loud goes to soft or vice versa, it is all of the time.
And yes i clean my ears out but my fucking doctor keeps saying to "let it come out naturally" and i'm not too fond of having earwax flow out of my ear on an hourly basis.
So, it's like the ringing dominates other noise?
I only get it when it's really quiet, like being in a car with doors and windows closed without starting the engine.
It could be caused by your car audio system. One of the factors is exposure to loud noise for a prolonged time.
Conclusion: Go see a doctor and ask for advice.
I heard somewhere that it is your ear tuning itself, I get it sometimes too.
Ear tuning itself? That's utter crap and bullshit.
If you masturbate, you will go deaf(?)
