People never look at the good side of religion anymore.
Now before i say this.. I want to point out that i have no idea what I believe in and I am still figuring it out.
What i believe about religion is that people should not believe in it. But only use the stories that are told in religion to enhance our lives.
There are dozens of stories in the bible that have life lessons in them which are very useful. But the bible also tells some utter bullshit. Like no masturbating or no homosexuality allowed. I even heard that christians weren't allowed to wear cotton.
But religion has dumbed down our race. Which is the bad side of religion.

People are perfectly capable of learning these life lessons without the bible.

You could say the same thing about a popular fiction novel. You can use those stories to enhance your life. Using religion in this way is not what the public does with it. Religion is a constrictor of thoughts and the advancement of our race.

I think you missed my point. Either way, the problem is that people do not accept it as a fiction novel. They accept their religion as a deity and allow it to rule their lives.
